The kink in her tail is a birth defect. My wife and I tell people that we shut it in the car door just to see their reaction......

Nothing wrong with that collar if its used the right way.
Points are blunt on the end. They are good if you have a dog that always wants to pull while on the leash. They will pull once and then realize "Oh shit I dont think I want to do that anymore". Use it as part of training and after awhile you dont use the collar anymore and the dog dosent pull with a regular collar on.

There are other ways to get your dog to "heel" but this one gets immediate results.

agreed, I have one of those collars for my 40 pound cocker, he wore it when he was learning to heel, after the choke chain did not work he was too strong, now it is in his bin in the garage I haven't used it in years

Your post describes the reason you shouldn't use that collar. WTF, if you can't get a dog to heel without choking it or using a torture device shame on you.

Why not stick an electric rod up his arse too.

I hope someone puts one of those on you....

The dog is a coonhound mix. The collar is a training collar like Bubba said. She is only one year old and is still in the training/puppy phase.

u don't ned a choke collar to train a dog

get a gentle leader

I have a gentle leader as well - the training collar that you see in the pics is being used because this was her second time in the stream and we didn't want her wondering out too far.

Everybody should calm the hell down. Agent, I would stick an electric rod up your arse - but I am afraid you would like it too much.

Gee, why would he want to run away from such a loving owner.

Who straps torture devices around his neck.......

Dont waste your time explaining joker. The minute you put a up picture of a coonhound you lost most of the elite around here.
