Al Franken is a brilliant comedian who does things for laughs and was voted in as a US Senator.....

George Bush was the president, who after destroying the country as a bumbling idiot, ended up being laughed at like a comedian....

See the difference?

Uhhh,, NO.

Dumfuck :sadwave:

I see that some here are still maintaining how much the top 5% (or half of one percent) do for this country, while so many are still crying about the liberal elite and how they control so much. It's amazing, really, how liberals can be labeled elitists, and yet those who call them that say they have so little value to the country, compared to conservatives.

Pretty easy arguments when you don't follow them through.

Perhaps even more amazing Chad, is that "ryson" equated the 5% of the population that listens to right-wing talk radio with the top 5% of income earners. He's gotta be smokin some serious ditch-weed to make that connection.

Of course, this is the same guy that claims that same 5% "pay all the fucking bills in this country". Apparently, the other 285 million of us are just economic dead weight. :142smilie

Trench, every time one of them opens their mouth about the top five percent i feel a need to pay more taxes. Maybe we are a drain on this top 5 percent. I always wondered why these guys care so much for this top five percent when they most likely are drains in the 95 percent like u and me

I personally would not have a problem measuring the base intellect and I.Q. of Franken against Bush. In my mind, Franken is much more of a self-made man using his own personal intellect and effort than Bush ever has been. Bush used his family and their ties - plus Karl Rove - to get virtually everywhere he got, especially including the Presidency. Bush was a complete failure in the business world, and rode a wave of connections and ties into winning a Presidency, at a perfect time for that. If you can actually call it winning in most respects, but that's a thread for another subject.

While I did not support nor vote for Franken, I do not think he's an idiot, nor unintelligent. And there's no doubt he can communicate and speak more intelligently than Bush ever could, can, or will be able to. Which does account for something. It just amazes me how simpletons have to go to such lengths to try to paint others as being idiots and stupid. A lot of black pots and kettles clanking around these parts, pardner.

Franken is nothing more than a lame comedian with leftist views. I don't have time to debate, nor the patience or the care factor. I do not know much about Frankenstein except he is trying to steal an election and he takes stupid pictures in diapers.

The subject of Bush...he is a great American...I did not always agree with him on some issues, but in all he was always about America first unlike KING Obama...

Yeah at least Frank has the balls to defend the online gaming community.

I thought you wanted this thread in the dumpster anyway?

The amount of crying and whining out of neocons like you is really eye opening. If you disagree with the president of your country bitch and moan like a little girl with a skinned knee.

I don't have time to debate, nor the patience or the care factor. I do not know much about Frankenstein

Then I'd suggest one of the two following plans moving forward:

1. Don't start a thread on a subject if you don't have the time, patience or care factor to deal with it.

2. Don't read anything posted after your original posts, if you don't have the time, patience or care factor to deal with it.

3. Don't ask Jack to bail out your threads after you start them and continue to argue with the responses in them, making them longer threads (and then complain about where the thread has gone).

At least this time you admit you don't know much about the subject matter of the post you started. Realizing you have a problem is the first step to recovery...

Yeah I can't think of anything more pro american than sending thousands of young americans to die in a pointless war in Iraq.

If Bush was so pro america why was he never seen around during his Bama national guard days?

All you neocons could not wait to swift boat Kerry when he actually served for our country. While all your heroes Cheney etc got deferments after deferments to avoid any conflicts.

In regards to 9/11. Yes, Clinton could have done a better job in going after Bin Laden. But can you admit as a hard core conservative that utter inexcusable failure of any military response to those airplanes off course for a long period of time heading to New York came under Bush's watch?

Where it is real F ing COLD
I originally came to this website for sports handicapping, I am going to stick to that from now on:sadwave:

Well I have told you to do that.. Personally I lke you, I think you are funny and probably are a decent guy.. Now on the Franken side.. I'm not a big fan of his.. He is too much of a lefty, but I do not think he is "stealing" the election. I think Coleman may have tried to steal it in the first place. Now I have heard comments on Bush.. The guy rubs people the wrong way. It just seems as though he don't care about the common man and he seemed misinformed. Liberals really hate looking at a rich oill man from Texas. It's just the way it is, especially when we are in a war in Iraq. We thought it was going to be a quick war and it wasn't maybe thats not Bush's fault but wow was he off on that one. I feel Bush did very little in other issues such as education, health care, and environnment. Plus Bush is looked at as a guy who succeeded in politics because of his daddy and nothing else. Now Obama might not be the answer but I am willing to wait more than 100 days to find out.. I am going to give the guy a chance. What I don't like about politics is that ultra liberals and conservatives will always vote for their partiy's candidate and I think that is ignorant. Another problem is that both party's have a hard time criticizing their party. The righties on this site offer NO CRITICISM OF BUSH AND THAT IS WRONG.

This is what frustrates me like crazy. If you supported Bush you have no right to open your mouth right now.

Not to mention the ones who think Bush did a great job. He is the reason we have a lot of the problems we do now. Not all of them, but a lot of them.
