So. Cal
Did u ever notice three common things happen when the guys you vote for get the office? The deficit and debt soar, jobs are lost at an alarming rate, and crime also soars. Kinda strange how this goes hand and hand and happens every time Republicans are in charge. I guess u don't see this because u are to worried about buying that gun because these shitbags u vote in, create an atmosphere of hopelessness in which people then resort to crime. :mj06:

sounds good, but with one strok of the pen BO increased the deficit 3x within his first 60 days compared to bush 8 years.

oh, and if i remember correctly the stock market was up around 100% for his first 7 years and unemployment was at a low for about 6 of those years.

but hey, it's always bush fault.....in fact, if the trade for cutler doesnt work out for the bears, im blaming bush!

First off like a consistant pattern with u, u were wrong about Grossman as you stood on that island all alone when people thought u might need a little psychiatric help. Now you must be borderline retarded if u don't think it was Bush's policies that have created this tremendous mess we are in today. Guyshere have been saying this for two, three years while fighting with you dickheads. Now that we are right you shitbags flip it like it is somehow Obama's fault. You guys are absolutely nausea to debate. Your spins are not even worth debating. A small child can see thru them but somehow u guys are dumb enuf to believe them. good grief.

It's no secret the reason right-wing radio and television broadcasts typically get good ratings is because there's a core audience of about 5% of the American public that's unable to think for themselves and form their own opinions. These 5% have an aversion to reading and contemplating the limited amount of information they do manage to absorb on a daily basis. Therefore, they turn to their radios and TV's to get their daily diet of talking points spoon-fed to them by their favorite neoconservative idealogues.

(sorry to step on your post here trench, it is a good point as always)

I am just wondering, do you mean debt or deficit? Do you know what the total debt of the US was when Bush took office? Do you know what our deficit was? Do you know what the total US debt was when Bush left office, and what our annual deficit was?

Honestly, you really do not need to have any facts to rope these idiots in. Just spout some nonsensical bullshit and they repeat it.

Go fiigure. But you can read a call script to make credit card collection calls. Good for you. We are all very impressed.

I honestly have no idea why I continue to take the time to insult you. You just just beg for it.

I guess the real crux of the issue that you don't understand is that people like Trench are smart, and you are not. And you will never, ever, except that. That is why you think of yourself as very smart, when, in fact, you are very stupid, but people like French are actually very bright, but they always question their own intelligence. It is one of life's ironies.

The sad fact though, is that you are really, honestly and truly, a dumbass.

Sorry, but you are.

You can still be a good person though.

The funny thing is that the 5% you berate pay all fucking the bills in country. Do you get a refund on your taxes? I sure don't. I would prefer you just take your tax refund that we provide and shut the f**k up. Think about it, if the people who actually pay the taxes/bills in this country quit doing so then your life would very different. When are you ivory tower liberals going to stop towing the company line? Doesn't "going green" mean not burning unnecessary computer cycles bantering with uneducated neo-cons? Lead by example jackass.

NEW YORK - "Air America Radio, a liberal talk and news radio network that features the comedian Al Franken, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, a network official told The AP.

The network had denied rumors just a month ago that it would file for bankruptcy protection. On Friday, Air America spokeswoman Jaime Horn told The Associated Press that the filing became necessary only recently after negotiations with a creditor from the privately held company?s early days broke down."

it`s no big woop...minny is already broke and running a deficit....because liberalism/socialism only works in the environment of big government funding....

see npr...and the obama budget...

so,do your worst al...the people of minny deserve you...

So now you're an expert on Minnesota? How many states are running surpluses right now? You do know that Minnesota has a Republican governor, and has had for two terms, right? A governor that has some pretty interesting creative finance maneuvers between state organizations - taking money from successful parts of it and throwing it towards areas that make him more politically attractive to the GOP recruiters nationally. A supposed conservative that advocates all kinds of surcharges and user fees to pretend he's not raising taxes.

What do you know about the history of Minnesota? I know that we've only been having budget issues of late during the latter part of the Bush administration, which has worsened under the GOP governor. For cripes sake - things were better financially under Jesse Ventura - at least people were responsible for their actions and their departments without a governor taking their funds to make others look better.

How many states are doing well these days? Not many. Minnesota will be fine - it's a great state to live in with countless opportunities and beautiful attributes - and it's having a hard time because of the same things everyone is dealing with.

I have no problem putting the state of Minnesota up against others as far as quality of life and financial opportunity. I daresay - some of you rippers out there live in some far more arguable states than Minnesota. We aren't afraid to change the guard occasionally - we relish in changing things up. That's worse than having representatives on life support that haven't had an original thought for years?

Whatever... this is a wonderful place to live - if you can handle the cold (which I can't many times). Our state will be fine, which I can't say for all of them these days.

By the way, while we're ridiculing/sharing... Wease, what state do you live in? What area? I mean, if you are so helpful in judging Minnesota, what state are you hanging out in? I think you've been asked some questions before about employment, lifestyle, etc., and little has come out - no problem with that... but if you care to share your state, then maybe we can examine things, since you have such outward ridicule of Minnesota. Or not - seems safer... sorry if I missed the resume earlier...

I'm always willing to yield the floor to the distinguished gentleman from Florida. Your keen insight and wisdom are a beacon, my friend.

Not so much tonight Trench. You are a welcome presence. I would like the opportunity to share a beer with you, Kosar, Murphy, HH and Agent of course, Chadman, and too many others here to go on about (even Jack). I guess I need to look into the golf outing situation.

I didn't berate anyone. Just stated a widely accepted axiom of broadcast journalism.

So the 5% that listens to right-wing talk radio "pay all the fucking bills in this country"?

OK, if you promise, and I mean "cross-your-heart and hope-to-die" promise, not to tell anyone, we'll let you into our secret society that doesn't pay any bills. OK, so it's not so secret... I mean we are 95% of the population after all.

I wonder how many right wingers realize that Rupert Murdoch paid $12 per subscriber to cable companies to get Fox News on "so many" cable networks, and continued to do so to make sure it had a position there? I wonder why the explosion of Rush, Hannity and other Conservative radio hosts occurred under the Bush watch when the younger Powell was placed in charge of the FCC and expanded the rights of major corporations to buy up multiple stations in markets and major areas - let alone small markets where money alone was the key to expanding a value base?

Don't let the facts get in the way of a good, ignorant rant, tho...

I see that some here are still maintaining how much the top 5% (or half of one percent) do for this country, while so many are still crying about the liberal elite and how they control so much. It's amazing, really, how liberals can be labeled elitists, and yet those who call them that say they have so little value to the country, compared to conservatives.

Pretty easy arguments when you don't follow them through.

Chad did u copy this from a post of mine awhile back or a post of Stevies about Romney? Or is it possible all Republicans do this? Every Republican Gov't we ever had in Pa we got saddled with huge debt.
Oh and good luck getting info from Weasel :mj07: There is a reason his name is Weasel.

I for one had a specific comment on this subject earlier, and you were too busy changing the subject to the misinformed topic of Clinton and Bin Laden, among others. You make completely incendiary comments here, ridiculing anyone with a different opinion, and when the heat gets too hot, you cry to Jack to bail you out.

Maybe if you don't like your B.S. original posts to take turns, when you fuel nearly all of them with responses and commentary, then you shouldn't start them at all?

My comment stands. If you can wade back through your subject changes to find it, I welcome a response...
