Some dealers have reported customers calling expecting half off or $10,000 off. Lande said he has had a few such calls.

they're gonna have to do better than $10K to motivate me and they won't do that.

they can KEEP 'EM!

The wife and I were in the market to get a new vehicle a few weeks ago. I wanted to get rid of my gas guzzling truck so I could stop supporting terrorists the way Hedgehog does. Anyways, we looked all over expecting Chrysler "deals" or something to take advantage of my GM discount....nothing could come close to a deal we got on a Honda Civic Hybrid. Unreal gas mileage, well made, great service plan = $21k. The comparable cars from GM and Chrysler just didn't cut it.

I can't think of an american car I would buy today - I would think about a "caddy" , but for the same price I could get a Lexus.

So Jack what your saying is if I can get you more then $10k off a new DTS (DeVille) your a buyer???

Plus, you have to watch the 0% sometimes not the best deal. Most of the time it's either rebates or 0% financing not both. If your going to buy a new car and they are selling you on the 0% ask the saleman to run it both ways if you lose the rebate with 0% fin. I always look at both angles for my Customers.

I am saying that....if you are in the sales department would you mind telling me the cheapest price they CAN go for, so I can bully my salesman with the number KNOWING the results

nice closing question :SIB

it would prob take 30% off and the extended warranty to motivate me.

like i said, i'm still happy and to jump into the same exact thing would be dumb. i've done that before. i'm free and clear with only ~ 80,000 miles and like seeing the $40K + sitting in the bank.

I pulled the handel on a Pontiac G8. When they took $7400 off sticker I could not walk away. I went back to my youth it,s red I mean bright red. Dam thing moves out rather nicely. And when I turn up those 250 watts of music. Wow the sounds are wild. Of course the wife is not totaly happy because those young Gals are all looking. Not at me but she does not no that.

"the bunker"
little known chrysler factoid..

"95% of all chrysler products made since 1999 are still on the road."

/the other 5% actually made it home...
