Apparently unlike in America where the media and paparazzi have no rules and nobody to answer to, where you can disrupt traffic Civil ordinance and literally hound people until insanity, evidently some other counties don't put up with that shit.

you think they weren't warned? They were going to get the big story Hell or high water, now they will pay the price. Hope it was worth it, get out your work gloves. Got to tell you, almost like seeing the media finely lose a battle.:sadwave:

evidently between games you don't watch the news:shrug:

these 2 Little League reporters, evidently thought they were going to roam around China and North Korea and expose Said governments for major humanity violations. without any kind of major network backing, or federal backing, just couple of chicks in the MEDIA.

WTF are you talking about.

They were on the border of China and North Korea and by most accounts in china.

They were doing a story about the trafficking of North Korean women. A story that needs to be told.

Fuck you are stupid.

ya China, that's perfectly safe, last major Communist country in the world. If it needs to be told so bad, why don't you go tell it.

i tend to agree,shammy......i don`t know why anyone would go anywhere near n.korea, knowing the insanitythat goes on there(i read that they were on the chinese side of the border, but who knows?...shouldn`t be anywhere near the n. korean border)... ...

were these two women traveling alone near the n.k. border?...if so, why?..

that said,i wouldn`t lose any sleep over their fate...this is a primo career move for them...

we've trained n.k. to behave like this over the last 50 years or so....they keep crossing our lines in the sand, and we keep doing nothing in response.....

so....kim`ll simply use them to get what he wants, then renege on his end of the deal, ad infinitum....wash,rinse,repeat....

sanctions won't work...n.k.is pretty much self-sufficient when it comes to mass starvation and poverty, and getting the russians to agree not to export $5000 watches to the country just isn't going to have any impact.....forget china helping...

we pay kim...these stupid reporters get released...they become media darlings....

lord,we`re stupid...

Oh current TV, obviously the Korean Government was very intimidated by them.

You started a thread with complete nonsense and made up shit in it.

You attack Dickie for not watching the news when you have no idea anything that happened either.

I was pointing out they were not just two journalists out on their own. They had camera people and others with them who were able to get away. And they were working for someone.

Dude relax, I didn't attack anyone, I'm sure Dickie is fine. And have you ever watched current TV? Ya they were out on their own, current TV is compatible to a college telecommunications station.

Never said it wasnt. Never said it wasnt crazy and foolish to be over there.

But you make it sound like they were in downtown Pyongyang starting shit.

They were on the border and possibly not even in North Korea.

You wanna bash them for being over there or wish ill will on them thats fine. Just don't make shit up.

i think if "the goreacle"`s going over to dazzle kim jong il,it might be a good idea to leave a trail of cheeseburgers and pizza to a live animal crate and ship him by freight.....

it'll be cheaper....and easier on the environment than travelling first class on a private jet....

/always doing my part to help the cause.....:walk: ..

peace!

weren't the 2 chicks snatched out of bed in the middle of the night? Not sure how wrong they were or if they did any wrong at all, and correct 2 brave chicks to even fuck around over there, when I first heard the story like a week ago I thought hmmm, now kim can play with these 2 political pawns and use them in his best interest(and not sexually) I just hope they are being well kept and they get released unharmed to the US, they do have families and one lady has a 3 yr old specifically that has no clue where mommy is. The story DOES need to be told trafficking women is major over there not that the story would help or do much but NOW with this happening this way it's gonna be BIG news and not some little journalistic story. Kim may have this one thought out wrong, if they were wrong and did have a leg to stand on I believe he would of had them sentenced and wouldn't worry what the fuck America says, if they did no wrong and he does something off the handle then I dont think he wants to be bitch slapped although he acts like a tough guy. Let's pray for there safety....they were doing a job, and hope for a quick return.

Occupational hazards. When you go into that area you go knowing there is a chance this can happen. It sucks for them, regardless of the circumstances though it was a chance they took and they were on the wrong side.

I only wish we could send 99% of our media here at home over there to rot in jail.

To me, this is like someone who does "extreme" sports as a profession. Sure I don't want anyone dying, but you know the risks going in.

Not to the same degree but this is similar to when the Dixie Chicks bashed Bush/USA at their concert. They wanted all of the good from it (support from people who hated Bush) but none of the bad.

Sorry. But with reward comes risk.
