I have a couple of buddies from Texas visiting this week and we are doing several pretty cool trips around the countryside. The following pictures are of a three hour fishing trip we took yesterday in Gutan Lake which is part of the Panama Canal. Over the next couple of days I will post additional photos of a rainforest canopy tour that we are going on tomorrow and then on Monday, a fishing trip around Taboga Island which is off of the Pacific coast of Panama.
Early morning at the dock on Gatun Lake
Passing a freighter in the Canal
One of the first fish caught was an Oscar
Our guide caught the largest fish, a 5 lb. Peacock Bass
My buddy Pat with a nice Peacock
Feeding White Faced Monkeys
This monkey kept coming back for more
Mama monkey with her baby on her back
Our catch after less than three hours on the water
Chris with his best fish of the day
Me with mine
The view from our table at the Gamboa Resort. We were off the water with fish cleaned and sitting in the restaurant across the bridge from the boat dock by 11:00 am.
More pics to come tomorrow.
