i have never cheated on either my first wife or my present wife....& i don't judge people who do (have quite a few friends who have)....but i would think that if you are going to cheat, especially if you are rich & famous, it would be with somebody who is good looking....this girl is not good looking imo,& think both his wife & mcnair are/were better looking than this woman....

he wanted what she had and she wanted what he had...

Friends paint picture of McNair's final hours

The night of Friday, July 3, began without fanfare and, as usual, where McNair went he was noticed and chatted up friends

07-06-2009 12:58 PM ?
In the last few hours of Steve McNair's life, the celebrated former NFL quarterback was out with friends and enjoying the city that loved him for his football greatness and community involvement.
But what was supposed to be a long Fourth of July weekend of socializing and relaxing turned deadly, sending the city of Nashville into a state of shock.

On Saturday, McNair and 20-year-old Sahel Kazemi were found dead in a downtown condominium. McNair had been shot four times - twice in the head and twice in the chest. Kazemi had a single gunshot wound to her head.
Metro Police have ruled McNair's death a homicide while refraining to classify Kazemi's death as a suicide or homicide until they have completed their investigation.

Kazemi was a waitress at Dave & Buster's in OpryMills and it was there she apparently first met McNair a few months ago. Metro Police spokesman Don Aaron said that McNair and Kazemi were in a steady relationship and dating.
McNair was known to frequent area clubs and bars like Dave & Buster's, never hesitating to pose for pictures or sign autographs. While on these outings, he would often stop and chat with friends and business acquaintances.

The night of Friday, July 3, began without fanfare and, as usual, where McNair went he was noticed and chatted up friends.
At approximately 9:30 p.m., McNair and a woman identified as Kazemi were outside the Losers nightclub, at 1911 Division St.

The couple was sitting in a black Cadillac Escalade and were spotted and approached by local fund-raiser and event promoter Brent Young. According to Young, Kazemi was sitting in the driver's seat and McNair, who was in the passenger seat, got out of the vehicle to speak with him.
Kazemi stayed in the vehicle and Young says that while he waved at her, he did not speak with her.

According to Young, he and McNair spoke of how excited the former Titans quarterback was that his life was coming together again, and was excited about the opening of his new restaurant, Gridiron9. They spoke of Young putting together a grand opening party for him in the next few weeks and also of the possibility of McNair's participation in an upcoming charity golf tournament.
Asked to expand on McNair's condition and state of mind Young said that McNair was "sober and in a great mood."
At this point Young said that he invited McNair to stop by the nightclub Mai Nashville that evening for an event that he was attending.

Sometime after that conversation, Young says that he saw McNair and an unknown man enter Mai, at 125 12th Ave. N. Mai was hosting an event with musician Aaron Carter and his brother Nick of the group Backstreet Boys.
Kazemi was not in the club, according to Young, due to the fact that she was under age.

McNair apparently stayed a short time and left, heading toward the Blue Moon Lagoon Restaurant on Basswood Drive in the Rock Harbor Marina.
According to several NashvillePost.com sources, it is at Blue Moon Lagoon where McNair's evening took an ominous turn.

While sitting with friends at the restaurant (sources say that Kazemi was not in the party), a white woman in her early 20s, about 5-foot-4, approached McNair and accused him of slipping her a "roofie" a year ago.
The woman then told McNair, according to sources, that her boyfriend was going to kill him.

Roofie is a slang term for Rohypnol, a sedative dating back to the early 1970s that is used in hospitals for deep sedation, but is now a fairly infamous date-rape drug.
After confronting McNair, sources say that the woman was asked to leave the restaurant. As of now, there is no known connection between the blond woman's warning and the events that unfolded just a few hours later. It could well be an eerie coincidence. Still, Metro Police are interviewing patrons and staff members at Blue Moon Lagoon.

One of those in attendance at Blue Moon Lagoon was McNair's close friend Doug Crow. Crow is co-owner of popular Nashville restaurants, including The Crow's Nest, The Corner Pub in the Woods, The Alley and Dalton's in Bellevue and The Corner Pub in Midtown.
Multiple attempts to reach Crow have been unsuccessful and friends tell NashvillePost.com that he has been "shattered" by the loss of what they called "his best friend Steve McNair."
Sources say that when McNair finally left the Blue Moon Lagoon in the early hours of July 4, Crow had a driver take McNair home. They say that the driver took McNair home alone.

Kazemi: Police Now Thinking She Was Murdered?

<!-- foobar -->Interesting to note that Nasvhille police have still not confirmed that Sahel Kazemi, the 20-year-old mistress of Steve McNair who was found dead with him on Saturday, was killed by a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Local authorities, after leaning to rule the crime as a murder-suicide, have now seemingly changed their stance on the killings. (Something that comes as zero surprise to me.)

(Photo of Sahel Kazemi inside condo where she and McNair were murdered)
How else can you explain police now telling the TENNESSEAN that an investigation will ?take many days of interviews with their families and friends and witnesses who saw the 36-year-old McNair out on the town Friday night before police will rule whether the deaths were a murder-suicide or a double homicide.?
And then there?s this:
It will be weeks before toxicology tests reveal whether either of them had alcohol or drugs in their systems. Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and explosives are tracing the gun?s registration to determine whether it belonged to McNair or someone else. McNair is licensed to carry a handgun in Tennessee.
BALONEY. The police will know the results of those toxicology tests in a couple days. Not to mention the gun registration. The local authorities are sandbagging the timeline to get the media off their back in the case. So we?ll forget about it - and allow them to be more effective in the investigation. And that?s fine by me.

There are just so many details of this case that don?t add up. McNair?s friend not calling police for an hour after discovering the bodies. McNair reportedly having his life threatened at a local bar the night before the killings. McNair?s wife saying she hadn?t seen him in two days. (I?m not accusing her of anything by the way.)

(Myspace message of Keith Norfleet, Sahel Kazemi?s ex-boyfriend)
And then there?s Kazemi?s ex-boyfriend Keith Norfleet, who in an interview with the TENNESSEAN, knew intimate details about Kazemi?s relationship with McNair. He also stated that he made a Saturday morning visit to McNair?s condo - but never said why. What the hell?

(Keith Norfleet, Sahel Kazemi?s former longtime boyfriend)
Last night I posted the rather ominous message on Norfleet?s now-private Myspace account. Perhaps even more interesting though is the since-deleted status message of one of Norfleet?s friends on Myspace, ?Jett Jackson?. Jackson?s account has since been deleted, but I saved a screen shot of it. Posted after the jump.
Note the date of Jackson?s last login, July 2. The two bodies were reportedly discovered on Saturday, July 4. Just pointing the discrepancy out, not accusing anyone of anything here - yet. You have to believe though that police are interested in Jackson?s Myspace message. Or more specifically, the timing of it.

(Black box covers the word f?k)
From the outset, I never even consider Kazemi as a suspect in McNair?s death. I think there was a third party involved. With all the reported information out there, there?s really no way to definitively conclude that Kazemi murdered McNair and then took her own life.
And now the police, after initially implying this was an open-and-shut murder/suicide, are now they?re saying the investigation into what happen could take weeks or months?
85c6b1112add1cf83265c9db891c241e_sahelkazemiphoto2.jpg
My guess is we?ll have an information embargo from police for the next few weeks, then a bomb will drop and we?ll get a suspect in the what could be two murders. There?s just too much out there to conclude otherwise.
But don?t look for breaking news on this case from the sports media, it clearly can?t get away from the story fast enough. Thank goodness for blogs.

Source Claims McNair?s Wife ?Blindsided? By Affair

<!-- foobar -->Is it possible that Mechelle McNair had no idea about her husband?s affair with 20-year-old beauty Sahel Kazemi, learning about it only when the grisly crime scene was discovered at a Nashville condo? The NEW YORK DAILY NEWS this morning is quoting a source saying that Steve McNair?s wife was ?blindsided? by the relationship, a surprising contention considering how openly Kazemi was discussing her belief that the couple was getting a divorce.

(Sahel Kazemi)
Just another wrinkle in the story that has more twists and turns than a Hitchcock film. All the elements of a classic crime thriller are in place: The crime scene that leaves more questions than answers; one victim who is a famous ex-athlete, the other who came to this country after her parents were killed in Iran; a jealous ex-boyfriend; a mystery man lurking in the shadows. And the wife who claims she was totally in the dark. But was she?

Although Kazemi apparently told relatives that McNair was in the process of divorcing his wife, the DAILY NEWS source said that Mechelle had no idea that her husband had a girlfriend.
?She?s blindsided by this,? one source said of Mechelle McNair, who was holed up in her family?s home just 6 miles from the condo her husband used to bed his mistress. ?She?s crushed. Her whole world is shattered.?
Kazemi, apparently, believed that a divorce was imminent. One reason is that McNair would take trips with his children without his wife, Kazemi said. Kazemi had told relatives that she and McNair would ?take a break? when McNair would go away on his own with his children. Kazemi?s cousin Farzin Abdi said that McNair and the children recently returned from Mexico:
?I was under the impression that his family knew about her,? Abdi said. ?That he took the children alone with him on vacation is a sign that they were separated.?
Kazemi told her sister, Sepideh Salmani, that McNair was in the process of divorcing.
Kazemi, though younger than Abdi and Salmani, was actually their aunt but they were raised as siblings.
Salmani talked to her sister every day and said she was very happy in her relationship with McNair.
?That?s why she was like, ?OK, now you?re divorcing. We can date,? ? Salmani said. ?He told her, it was going to be finished, the whole divorce was going to be done, two weeks from yesterday.?
Abdi said that the family was leery of Kazemi?s relationship with McNair. Earlier, when Kazemi had expressed nervousness about living alone, Abdi had suggested that she get a permit to carry a gun. Her reply did not put the family at ease.
?She told me she didn?t have to because Steve had lots of guns,? Abdi said.

Police: Gun At McNair Murder Scene Was Kazemi?s

<!-- foobar -->The gun that was found at the Steve McNair homicide scene had been purchased by Sahel Kazemi, the woman with whom he was having an affair and who was found dead with him in his condo, Nashville police just confirmed. Although other theories are still on the table, according to police, the possibility of a murder-suicide is emerging as the more likely scenario. At this point, however, is it wise to assume anything in the case that blurs the line between real life and film noir?
Kazemi?s nephew, Farzin Abdi, has said earlier that police are ?almost certain? that Kazemi was the shooter, and that she had purchased the handgun that was found beneath her body at the scene. Police would not say that publicly until just moments ago, however. And that gives credence to the most likely scenario of all ? jilted lover, who had expected her boyfriend to divorce his wife and marry her, snaps when he gets cold feet and tells her it?s over. Crime fiction wouldn?t exist without this staple; Greek Tragedy, indeed.
But whatever the truth is, McNair was most certainly playing the woman, and paid the ultimate price. Police aren?t taking anything for granted, however; which is why it?s kind of curious that they?ve released the information about the gun. More not-seen-before photos above, and below.
From THE TENNESSEAN:
?We believe the pistol recovered from the apartment was purchased by Kazemi,? Metro spokesman Don Aaron said.
Police also said that they questioned Kazemi?s ex-boyfriend, Keith Norfleet, for several hours on Sunday, and that he is not a suspect. In fact, there are still no suspects being actively pursued.
?He was cooperative during questioning, then he went on his way,? Aaron said.
Norfleet told The Tennessean on Saturday that he went to police headquarters on his own Saturday, looking for answers on whether the woman he broke up with five months prior was the one who died alongside McNair. He was not questioned that night, but asked to leave his contact information, Aaron said.
?We know Norfleet was a former boyfriend of Kazemi?s, and he obviously had his opinion of the relationship between she and McNair,? Aaron said. ?He was a person who needed to be interviewed in detail.?
Aaron said the testing to see if gunshot residue was present on Kazemi?s hands has not yet been completed.

(Keith Norfleet, and blurry pal)
The fact that the gun was Kazemi?s, and that her ex-boyfriend, Norfleet, came to police immediately of his own accord, gives further weight to the murder-suicide scenario. But don?t be shocked if we?re hit with a bombshell somewhere down the line that provides deatils no one was expecting.

I just came across something in another forum. How could she have legally bought a handgun at the age of 20? You have to be 21 to purchase a handgun:shrug:

ESPN said earlier that they have been able to trace it back to the guy who sold it and even who had it before him.

Thats whats reports I see are saying too Jack--
seems odd however that gun was found under her--I tried thinking of way that could happen especially as gun recoils away--sure would be odd also not many girls shoot themselves in head.
On flip side--would seem even odder that someone would stage it to look like suicide and put gun under her.

DTB, i don't think that it is far fetched at all.
eiter she was pissed over the dui, jail time, etc and he was leaving her b4 more bad pub.... or the ex/ some other punk got involved. killing her and pinning it on her leaves the most important witness unavailable. jmo

On the course!
None of us know these two........why the hell COULDN'T it be a murder/suicide?

Just sayin'

Waaaaaay too much stuff out there for us to know what happened.

Did she buy the gun to kil him? Did she buy the gun for protection?

Sometimes we just think too hard, and it really is as simple as it appears.

I'll let the cops piece it all up.

Yuck...

When are these young girls going to learn that if you act and dress like a slut then you will be treated like a slut.

Sure a guy will bang you and tell you all the right things. You might even get a few gifts out of it. But you will never get his respect. And when he is tired of you he will cast you aside. (ahhh i miss my single days sometimes..)

I mean look at her.. Not marriage material. Did she really think Mcnair a 36yr old with four kids was going to bring her home to his family?

She thought she had a free ride and when he was done with her he tried to break it off.. No more cars. No more money. No more spotlight. Obviously she couldnt handle the thought of going back to the life of a simple waitress.. So she ended it
