I hate them.

I had Comcast in my old house. When I moved into my new house I transfered the account. When I move into the house the previous owner had RAC or something. They switched me to Comcast and my reception sucked. I had a bad picture and I kept getting knocked off the internet.
They blamed everything from my router to my modem to the wire in the walls.
This went on for a good two years. Finally a tech told me that the problem is on the pole but Comcast won't fix it because I am the only one on the street with Comcast. Everybody else has this RAC or whatever.
A quick call the Verizon and they put in FIOS. I was the first on my street to get it. And all my cable problems went away. FU Comcast.:thefinger

Stevie i had almost this same problem. Two weeks of frustration. They used every excuse in the book. Once they updated the cable i had no problem. Those 25 year old wires don't work so well with the net.

I had Comcast come out to a home I purchased while married, had them schedule for the day after I closed. Saturday morning to be exact, guy came out, put in some new cable jacks in the places I wanted them, kitchen etc....

I was doing some yard work that day, while wife was painting a room on the inside. It is about 7:00 PM, I take a shower on the 2nd story of a two stroy with basement, my wife down in the basement in the laundry room, washing up her paint suppliers.... comes running up the stairs, telling me we have a leak in the basement! I was tired, and now just furious, thinking inspections missed something...

To make a long story short, called out a plumber, he looked over everything and was puzzled, 2 hours later he looks at me and goes, I have no clue as to where the water is coming from via the wall... he checked and rechecked every possible area, cutting away some of the back of cabinets to get to some joints etc. (with permission) and no leak! He then goes back down and measure's where the leak is from the wall, and then goes to first level kitchen, and looks at everything that may be there... then he asks, how long has that cable outlet been there??? I say about 8 hours, he responded...that stupid bastard... I bet he drilled through your black pipe!

Low and behold, he drilled smack center of the black pipe leading from the drain from the upstairs shower, and fed the cable through it. Water bouncing off of cable, was then coming out the whole. Quite a bit of it too!

SO I called Comcast to get this crap paid for, etc... to find out that I was 6 sub-contrqactors deep on the installation. I talked to soo many people, and so many different companies it was unbelieveable. Finally I ended back with Comcast, and I was screaming that day that I finally got some "management" to come out and see the issues and damage. $3300 later I was taken care of. Terrible service, and I did not like them... but compared to Charter's offering, it might be worth the hassle, as I do not like Charter!!!

Oh well...
