Why is the sky blue in the day and black at night?

It's all to do with the refraction of the sun light as it reaches our atmosphere.

It bends the light in such a way that only the blue spectrum can be seen. ;)

As for the black...I woulda thought that was kinda obvious!

MrC is on the right path.
Certainly the darkness question is frivolous.
Regardless, check this out for a reasonably coherent desciption of light in our atmosphere:

P.S.
"Eddie" should be in jail.
99% of you won't follow my meaning. No matter. 99% of people generally don't.
Both of them.
Hope to meet you someday, "bud".

enjoy the sunset, all

I guess here's the best place to ask EXP...

...I've been wondering for a while...is that an upside-down nose?? A crazy bullet wound??

Light is a wave of vibrating electric and magnetic fields. It is one small part of a larger range of vibrating electromagnetic fields

Of course, that's not true at all...but hardly the point here. :SIB

Edward,

Weight is a function of gravity. The question you probably wanted to ask was 'what is the mass of the Moon?'

...about 1/8 that of the Earth by the way.

I would have liked to have you as a teacher when I was younger kotysdad. You know a lot of useful information about stuff and I'm sure you read a lot of books.
