High school JV and a D1 prospect is like square peg round hole right? Throw us a highlight or template if available, I like seeing the young ones that "get it" play. wHAT position and if u dont mind where out of. I have a son thats Class '14 here in Jersey. I keep an eye on some local kids around these areas.

I coach the JV but also varsity asst. Obviously the kid will play varsity. He transferred after winning state title at 3A as a fresh and soph. 6'4" point guard and the best passer in the state. Kid is amazing. He will have to sit 1st 11 games but since he is a Junior he can play JV so will suit for me. I also run all the summer camps, etc as well as my own club team called the Boulder Blaze. We had 71 kids last summer my 1st year, ranging from 6th-12th. Our Elite team travels to Vegas, etc for national tourneys and college exposure. I will be head coach at Boulder High in 2 years.

Pt guard (Gregg) is an AMAZING coach, has had a dozen or so D1 guys over the years and is coming out to work with the team. We will be in fall ball at that time so should be a blast!

Would love to talk to you JerZ

challenge to Jar Head

Morphed into a name just for you ...

If up to it, let's compare lifetime resumes and see how we stack up at what we have done and the type of indelible footprints we have left behind ...

Coaching:

*started at 16 in the Seattle parks dept. where I cut my teeth at the highest level of 6th-10th grade over the next 10 years .... My teams won a record 8 CITY CHAMPIONSHIPS, ours were not select teams glommed from all over the city, we came from a small community and still beat all comers at the highest level ... I was blessed with great kids. I hold the Parks record with most titles by a coach.

* was asked by the local HS coach during this time to join his staff as his lead assistant and JV coach. He was a kindly man whose wide died last week. I went to her funeral, a wonderful woman. By my third year I had helped turn around a morbid program and we beat the legendary Ed Pepple, MERCER ISLAND, in the state finals 58-52 when no one gave us a chance. They were undefeated in state, and had beaten us at our place in the opener by 15. I was literally in charge of the team, the coach letting me run the offense, defense, practices, scouting, summer league etc etc. He was a generous man.

My JVs won 4 titles in my years, defeating Garfield numerous times which was unheard of during this era. We also played in the state finals again a few years later and lost at the buzzer.

After my mentor retired I was given the team one season. We were picked for middle of the pack we played in the city finals and lost.

* I moved onto Odea HS and we had an unprecedented run. My JV lost 8 games in 13 years and went undefeated the first three seasons and five more times after that. You can do the math as far as our overall record, meaning we played 20 games a year.

The varsity went on an spectacular run, winning four state titles and two runner ups in my 13 years. I was again in charge of scouting, defense, summer camps and leagues. I have coached in a record 8 state finals (overall record at state is 55-11). The 8 finals appearances are the most at any level boys or girls in WIAA history. As far as I know, I am the only coach to have won state crowns at 2 different schools too. 7 players have been named POY and 40+ more have been named all city. I have been invited to numerous weddings and babysat many of my ex players kids. Nate Burleson, Seahawks, has told me I was his favorite and best coach he has ever had. Drake Head football coach, Chris Creighton, emailed me last week and said the same thing. Most kids have told me this many times thru the years?it?s the highest compliment a man can take to his grave.

I have coached against the following NBA players: Martell Webster, Spencer Hawes, Terrence Williams, Nate Robinson, Jamal Crawford, Jason Terry, Brian Scalabrine and Rodney Stuckey. The latter two were not in our league, but tap the others on the shoulder and ask them if they know me and respect me sometime. Guess what their answer will be. ?That lil bastard could coach and his players loved him.?

Now as far as my writing you like to denigrate, show it to anyone you like, and see if they agree with you that I?m not talented. Is writing a tough profession? Hell, yes! I have written over 50 short stories, 10 novels, 22 screenplays, 24 fifty-five page episodes in a basketball series, 8 other original sitcoms or drama series pilots, a book on my childhood you love to scorn?which is trying to be put together by a LA agent as we speak, and many poems. I guess I have written over 5 million words in my life. Have you spent the time to research and create such a vast array of thought on anything?

Above all I am honored by an array of friends at all ages, people like Agent, Box-and-one, and Steve in Bremerton, are just a few on MJs I stay in touch with. In Seattle I have a wide circle of friends that are as loyal as elephants. The kindness they bestow on me I?m sure are the likes you will never fathom or will ever have duplicated.

You also find it necessary to make snide remarks about me coaching girls? basketball. It was not something I sought, it was my alma mater who asked me to apply after they fired their long time coach. I had resigned at my other school to start a non profit after school program for low income kids, centered on writing and basketball. The girls job was something I had trepidation about bc I am so demanding as a coach. But it has been a great fit and we have missed state by one game the last two years after winning our division both years. We sent one girl onto a D1 school this year and another on a full D2 ride. I will leave you with something else you can ridicule [http://www.komonews.com/news/local/39605957.html?video=YHI&t=a]. I also asked the girls to vote at the end of the 2nd year in private if they wanted me back. Unanimous, they did. I told them I would resign if 2 of them said they didn?t want me. How many bosses put their job on an ethical line like that?

I penned this not to blow my horn, but to see what you have accomplished in your own life since you see it incumbent to tear mine down with false statements all the time, ones that attacked my personal life, which Jack saw prudent enough to ban me for two years now.

Marine, don?t forget, you will always have Kay Griggs.

Agent, can?t wait to meet you and the family and help you with your team!

Ciao, Pt1gard, Inside Job

its all good, jack, I did email you once and ask you kindly for an explanation why i was banned when others went to great depths to attack my personal life and call me every name in the book and all you did was curse me ...

that was troubling since i had sent you many emails thanking you for the site thru the years, yet since my politics didnt mesh with yours I was blackballed.... agent told me several times i was unbanned over the last 2 years but each time i tried to see if it was true, it wasnt ...

thanks for the welcome back, however

Agent..6'4 at PG with dishing abilities and a gamer, enjoy him! I see InsideJob or PGs resume he explained out, thats an awesome body of work my friend. Nothing feels better then seeing someone you coach GET BACK something for all the hard work THEY do, wether its just memories for the lesser skilled ones or free rides and careers for the more fortunate. BoL with Fall Ball and the season ahead keep us updated and roll a little footage of PG working the fellas out IF allowed.

that`s why theres been so many indictments...right,pt1?...

actually,i wasn`t all that involved in the 9/11 thread..i just made fun of it on occasion because the whole concept is so "rubber room".....i actually used to be fairly friendly with pt1 prior to all this conspiracy nonsense...

but,of course,it is nonsense...conspiracy theories are shelters for folks abused by reality...

welcome back pt1(but i`m kinda sorry it`s on the eve of the 9/11 anniversary)........

/btw...peace...
