Here's my team:

QB: Matt Ryan
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Bernard Berrian
RB: Maurice Jones Drew
RB: Ronnie Brown
TE: Tony Gonzalez
Kicker: Neil Rackers
DE: Jets

Bench:
RB's: Larry Johnson, Ray Rice
WR: Donald Driver, Mark Clayton
QB: Ben Roethlisberger

12 team league; NON-PPR

Berrian or Driver this week? I had Berrian, but it appears he's pulled/strained his hamstring and won't be 100%. Thoughts?

GL!

Though Jennings is the guy in GB...this week Driver has a chance because the Bears' DBs are pretty weak. Rodgers should have a big game.

Think you might get more than you thought out of Larry Johnson throughout the yr.

Thanks for the feedback, that's what I wanted to know.

I picked up Larry Johnson for free. He was just sitting there, so I figured he could sit on my bench until we see how the season goes.

I dumped Lindell and picked up Neil Rackers.

Going to start Driver on you guys' advice. I don't follow individual matchups too closely, so I will need some experts' opinions.

Thanks and good luck!

You think? I'm wondering about that, too.... I know he's sharing the load, so I'm kind of curious how much he'll carry and at what points in the game.

he's the man in balt

he's the man in balt

plus he's got great hands, can break one at any time with the run or pass--KC def SUCKS, Atl will be tough--plus Balt won't have to throw

Brown just scares me--Rice will be huge this year, great pick--6th rd Im assuming?

whatever taoist---I know you pride yourself on being ffb wizard and shit, but I will disagree

Brown a top 5 back :142smilie

In Florida maybe

No eff'in way... Brown is a top 5 back this year and you'll be glad that you started him this week. If I were gonna play "wait and see" it would be with that mess in the Balt backfield....

Start Brown over Rice and thank me on Monday. ;)

Look, I mean no disrespect...and I have them both between 10-15 ranked RB's this week in a non-ppr league, but I am just as high on Brown as apparently you are on Rice, so we will just have to agree to disagree. :)

I like Rice and you're right in that KC's defense sucks hind teet. I just love me some Ronnie Brown this year. You obviously know your shit when it come to FF. GL, bro.

Well, with you two disagreeing now I really don't know what to do, LOL..

I actually picked up Rice in the 9th round. I couldn't believe he was still there.

When I wake up in the morning and check this site, I need a consensus, ok? :00hour

Good night!

Kelly darling,
All the other bullshit aside. You are in a non ppr league and Brown gives you the better chance at crossing the goal line in with the ball in his hands or delivered from his hands other than Rice, who has too many "goal line" backs to contend with.
Also, contrary to what the other gurus are predicting, Berrian is by far the better choice as his hamstring is improving and will be close to 100% by game time. His chances of getting past the pedestrian at best cornerbacks in Cleveland are far better than Driver, with the wheelbarrow that age has attached to his back, running rampant in a vastly improved Bear defense. Keep in mind that Chicago, Green Bay is a huge rivalry with Chicago dominating the stats and win column the last few years despite "poor pro bowl cornerbacks". Although Tillman is hurting, look for a low scoring game and Greg Jennings to be the featured receiver. Also, do yourself a favor and go back and pick up John Carney from the Saints for at least the first four games and watch your kicker rack up anywhere from 12-15 points a game for you as the Saints will score at will against Detroit and Rackers and Lindell will still be there when you get back.
I know you may not think so but I wouldn't hesitate to start Larry Johnson after this week when you consider that they had a better than average running game last year gaining over 1800 yards in only 379 attempts. Atlanta's defense will remain porous against the run again this year and Miami is at home so your answer this week is Brown. Baltimore does have a good running game but too many chefs. Take your chance with Matt Cassel, Dwayne Bowe, and see what Larry will do for you.
I myself am in too many leagues to list and would like to think that this and fantasy Hockey are something I am rather good at. I won't even do the whole childish "besides other things" crap at this point either. It is too early in the morning to be at work (came in at 2a............ugh) and I still love ya so I don't want to steer you wrong.
Berrian is your man, hands down. Driver will disappoint and you should look to package him and Ronnie Brown or Big Ben in a deal. Face it you're going to start Matt Ryan all but his bye week if he comes anywhere close to his performance of last year and carrying two QB's is a waste in my opinion. I have never done it and lost Brady the first week last year and still won the Super Bowl. There are always players that surprise after the first week or two. Keep Ben for two weeks if Ryan comes out slinging and Turner looks good. Package up Ronnie Brown or Ray Rice with Ben and get your self a nice player along with a Leon Washington, LeSean McCoy, Glen Coffee, Earl Bennett, Josh Morgan, Percy Harvin, type player that may put up huge numbers for you.

Hope this help darlin,
FDC

Evidently..

Evidently..

we have way too many experts on here with different opinions to come to a consensus. I don't like Berrian because not just his hamstring issues, but will the Vikes really need to throw the ball w/ Peterson? My guess is no. And how much practice have Favre/Berrian had together? And what's the probability that clev gets blown up and in the 2nd half where the focus for the Vikes becomes run the ball and shorten the game.

And I would assume, there would be more pts scored in chi/gb game. Chi's d will focus on stopping JenningsGrant, and Driver is Rodger's safety valve. Not that preseason is everything, but Driver looked great.

The Brown/Rice situation is closer. I've stated before why I like Rice. He is the starter and McClain is the fullback...yes McGahee will get a few touches but Williams in miami will take a few of Brown's as well.

KC def vs. Atl def?

I took Bush as my 2nd back in the 6th rd--as long as he's healthy :scared , he will start for me...Gore will be ahoss, but I can't trust SF offense yet and looks like Coffee is making some noise...And Brown, yeah he was great for the first six weeks, two years ago, but still coming back from the acl injury
--Maybe he blows up again, but for this week if I'm you--i'm going Bush/Gore. Wow, now that sounds like deja vue all over again...
Atl def will be greatly improved---

No harm, no foul.... We both drafted Bush. Would you even consider starting him over Ronnie or Gore? It's a close call for me because it is a ppr league, but I had him around #20, but that was before I heard that P. Thomas wouldn't play.

Not saying Driver is a bad receiver. I don't have him rated anywhere near as high as #30 and have him on one of the 11 teams that I own and probably won't start him. I do have Berrian on four teams strictly because of his upside. Same reason I took Justin Gage. One is a deep threat on a team that has a gunslinger that likes to throw the deep ball. The other more of a possession receiver with a quarterback that likes to throw to his backs and outside to his receivers due to ball control and his past propensity to through picks.
My point is that she is in a NON PPR league and therefore needs touchdowns. If Aaron Rodgers throws a TD it will not be to Driver it will be to Jennings. 8 catches for 43 yards won't do crap for her. 4 catches for 125 and a TD will. That is about what I would guess their respective numbers will be except Berrian may have closer to 7 receptions the more I think about it.

Hope this helps,
FDC

Ps. Tonight's game will help Big Ben's value!!! Dump him while you can get top price for him.............trust me.
