Well, with you two disagreeing now I really don't know what to do, LOL..
I actually picked up Rice in the 9th round. I couldn't believe he was still there.
When I wake up in the morning and check this site, I need a consensus, ok? :00hour
Good night!
Kelly darling,
All the other bullshit aside. You are in a non ppr league and Brown gives you the better chance at crossing the goal line in with the ball in his hands or delivered from his hands other than Rice, who has too many "goal line" backs to contend with.
Also, contrary to what the other gurus are predicting, Berrian is by far the better choice as his hamstring is improving and will be close to 100% by game time. His chances of getting past the pedestrian at best cornerbacks in Cleveland are far better than Driver, with the wheelbarrow that age has attached to his back, running rampant in a vastly improved Bear defense. Keep in mind that Chicago, Green Bay is a huge rivalry with Chicago dominating the stats and win column the last few years despite "poor pro bowl cornerbacks". Although Tillman is hurting, look for a low scoring game and Greg Jennings to be the featured receiver. Also, do yourself a favor and go back and pick up John Carney from the Saints for at least the first four games and watch your kicker rack up anywhere from 12-15 points a game for you as the Saints will score at will against Detroit and Rackers and Lindell will still be there when you get back.
I know you may not think so but I wouldn't hesitate to start Larry Johnson after this week when you consider that they had a better than average running game last year gaining over 1800 yards in only 379 attempts. Atlanta's defense will remain porous against the run again this year and Miami is at home so your answer this week is Brown. Baltimore does have a good running game but too many chefs. Take your chance with Matt Cassel, Dwayne Bowe, and see what Larry will do for you.
I myself am in too many leagues to list and would like to think that this and fantasy Hockey are something I am rather good at. I won't even do the whole childish "besides other things" crap at this point either. It is too early in the morning to be at work (came in at 2a............ugh) and I still love ya so I don't want to steer you wrong.
Berrian is your man, hands down. Driver will disappoint and you should look to package him and Ronnie Brown or Big Ben in a deal. Face it you're going to start Matt Ryan all but his bye week if he comes anywhere close to his performance of last year and carrying two QB's is a waste in my opinion. I have never done it and lost Brady the first week last year and still won the Super Bowl. There are always players that surprise after the first week or two. Keep Ben for two weeks if Ryan comes out slinging and Turner looks good. Package up Ronnie Brown or Ray Rice with Ben and get your self a nice player along with a Leon Washington, LeSean McCoy, Glen Coffee, Earl Bennett, Josh Morgan, Percy Harvin, type player that may put up huge numbers for you.
Hope this help darlin,
FDC
