As for why i'm for more social programs, perhaps its because I have more human decency that some of you god boys do.

Yes, there's money to be made by transitioning from an oil-centric energy policy to a much more diversified and yes, greener energy platform. In fact, in the coming years, hundreds of $billions are at stake. Do you seriously think the big oil companies and the politicians they've bought and paid for are going down without a fight? They've been fighting tax incentives and research subsidies for the wind and solar industries for decades. All the while, those same subsidies and incentives have been poured into the oil industry.

But here's the thing... the argument for transitioning to a green economy (sooner than later) is based in SCIENCE. The argument for keeping our fossil fuels economy is greed-based. Fossil fuels will play a large role in transitioning the U.S. and other industrialized nations to a green global economy but in the end, the choice will be an easy one: the death of fossil fuels or the death of our planet.

You know Trench, I respect your opinion however until there is proven fact that investors and scientist are not in it just for the money, but for the enviorment i'm skeptical.
