Played on one of these at the new casino in Indy while I was home. Played $1-$2 NL Hold-em.

I have to say I absolutely loved it!

Pros: WAY faster, cleaner since you don't have to touch anything. More room at table since there isn't a dealer. Makes everything such as math easier because it shows pot size, chip counts. Shows stats, etc on a separate screen. Shows percentages between hands when you are all in, adds some drama by turning cards slowly. No dealer to tip adds to your bottom line. More hands per hour= reduced rake which also adds to your bottom line.

Cons: No chips to shuffle and play with while just sitting there.

Would love to play a tourney at a place that had them as I'm sure it could track everyone's stacks, etc.

Anyone else played them?

I played on a cruise ship on one, it was okay, I would rather play on a real table with a real dealer, but thats me. actually played in a tournament and it went really quick.

Played on them several times at the Excalibur casino in Vegas. I actually liked them, but apparently most people don't. About a month or 2 ago, they got rid of them and went back to the "live" dealers.

Played on them several times.

What I don't like about them, it doesn't seem the cards are random to me, too many 4 cards flushes, and some tables certain cards come up way too often like 4's or something. And one seat is always hotter than hell, and does not have anything to do w/the players ability. Just what i see, they are trying to pass legislation here, to put real dealers in there, and then the machines are going bye bye.

Not surprising....

Not surprising....

I can see why Vegas lost them. I'm not much of a poker player but I imagine most people would probably rather play at a real table with real people.

human element, it has nothing to do with reading players its all about the cards, I would not play at one if there was a real card game going with real cards. Like Morris it seemed like one seat got the cards. playing live is much better, for a cruise ship the electronic table worked okay, still would prefer to play live.

I can totally see why you would love it!! Other players wouldn't be constantly bothering you to teach them all those nifty chip tricks you are constantly doing. I'm sure that gets old.

How do you look at your cards without everybody else seeing them?

They are dealt face down, kind of overlapping each other. You cup your hand over the screen an when you touch the back corners they curl up so you can see them. It's pretty nifty and there is no chance anyone else could see them. When you let off they go back face down.
