i'm wondering if this is bad because i have been eating a 24 ounce jar of this pineapple probably 20 times a month at least, for about the last 4 years. is this bad or good or doesn't matter?

i'm addicted to it :shrug:

yeah, i eat the whole fucking jar at one sitting.

Not a health guy by any means but what is the acid in the pineapple doing to your teeth?

i've had my dental problems but nothing out of the ordinary for my age. i don't think. :shrug:

seriously.....if you are taking cholesterol medicine,steer clear of grapefuit....it can compromise the effectiveness of the meds....

not sure about pineapple...:shrug:

Pineapple is quite acidic and can irritate ulcers or skin abrasions in the mouth.
Excesses - i mean if you eat several at a time could cause tooth enamel damage.
But a few slices or a tin a day would be fine and healthy.
Pineapple is actualy a superfood - great vitamins, minerals and dietry benefits.
But if it irritated your mouth then leave for a few days.

some of the statins can slow plaque build up in the arteries....theres also some over the counter stuff you can try before resorting to a prescription....

you ever consider coring your own fresh pineapple,bud?...i was on a pineapple binge and i bought a nice corer/peeler...

i`ll send it out to you if you want it...works pretty well...and you won`t be eating all that sugar...

lemme know...

I really don't know much about it.. I would think that long term or over use of it could irritate your whole GI system. I would contact your MD..

Looking at the label you're not getting much bang for your buck! (except the carbs and sugar and you don't want that).

I bought a fresh one the other day and nothing like it!!

Fresh Fruits or vegetables are always better. You just have to eat them quicker and it appears you are already doing that.

this is true. very true. and a lot of calories at one sitting. i have 17 more pounds to shed.
