Interesting.... if Iphone ever comes to Verizon, I'm sure I'll take a look at it....
You can have mine. I want the Droid.

it has a lot to do with where you live. att has the fastest 3g network but only where it works. In more places than not, the iphone cannot connect to 3g network which is the main purpose for the phone. Verizon's 3g network is HUGEEEEEEEE in the U.S. ATT can't compare
Is it correct that the Storm 2 is $600? :scared
For you guys that are Verizon fans. If you don't use a ton of internet you should switch to PagePlus cellular. It's unlimited talk and text for 39.99 total, no taxes or other fees. It is Verizon service, PagePlus just resells it. Instead of Post paying for your service you prepay for it.
If you use the internet a lot or have one of the new phones that stays connected to Verizon's server 100% of the time then this isn't the plan for you.
But if all you do is talk, text and check emails this is good. You can use you current Verizon phone, all you do is port the number. Sprint users can also port their number over to this service.
Man, I really want to believe this, but my wife is currently on Cricket and it is just plain awful. The Pages Plus store here is not exactly in the safest portion of town.
I'm going to check with them to see if we can use our current phone. Their selection is terrible.
glad you posted and i read that. gonna definitely hold off for awhile.
I always thought those yearly contracts are a bunch of bs.............if I am satified with the price, warranties and their service I will gladly pay month to month .............it also gives the companies leeway to add extra costs than are $1 here or there and wtf are you going to do.........cancel your plan and pay up the $300 fee to cancel all because they are charging you 2.99 more than they said
you're protected from that in the contract though. Anytime there is a price hike or a fee, you have the legal right to cancel it without the early termination fee.
in some ways.. the year long contract protects you from those little add ons. Think about it, with the bad loving that the iphone and AT&T service has been getting lately.. and the Droid release coming soon.. if AT&T adds just one friggin penny onto your bill you can cancel the contract and not pay an early term fee.
I've seen this too on howardforums - many ways to avoid early termination fee (i.e. military due to move, service does not come in great in your location, increased fees, etc.). Best thing to do is if they try to charge you, file a small claims case against them for bad and flawed service (cost about $50-70 to file a case) and they'll let you out of that contract in a minute with no "early termination" fee.

Dawg, trust me on this one man. You don't even have to go into the store if you don't want. You can do it all online.
Do you know if you can use phones other than the ones listed on their website?
so i go into an ATT store and they ask how they can help me. (nobody in there except 3 sales guys)
wife tells them i want an iphone
guys asks me why so i try to tell him what i want it for. the phone, email and something easy to text with.
he says unless i'm really into having an ipod and a toy to play with.... and my main priorities are good phone quality, and email, just go next door and buy a blackberry :scared
