Here we go again.....
Start in Baltimore where the Broncos are 6-0, what 6-0? Did anyone take the over in season total wins for Denver...I believe it was 7.5 and that sure looks good right now. Anyway this is the week reality sets in, I think Baltimore wins this game easily, in fact I believe they win by at least 10. Why you might ask, well both teams are coming out of bye weeks but this game is far more important to the Ravens who are sitting 3-3 and still have Pittsburgh twice, Indy coming up and a Monday night game at Green Bay. Ravens were 3-0 then lost 3 straight, the three straight losses were by a combined total of 11 points. Ravens defense plays big in this game, Ravens win 24-13, lay the 3 or 3.5 whatever your book has.
Jacksonville is going to Tennessee where the Titans are a mess, how does a 13-3 playoff team turn around and look like the lions of last year? Well start by knowing that the Titans are -11 in turnovers and starting Vince Young this week is hardly going to help that problem. Money is all over the Titans this week to finally break through and get that first win, i just dont see it. The Jags spanked the Titans in the first meeting 37-17, Garrard had his best game of the season in that game throwing for over 300 yds and 3 tds. How does Tennessee win this game? Answer...they dont, consider the ML but take the 3 to be safe (this is the NFL).
I learned a lot about the 49ers last week, first of all I love Singletary as a head coach (did before last week) but he is a guy who will never let his team give up and they showed that last week. Trailing 21-0 at the half last week the 49ers came back to force the Texans to kick a late fg and squeek out a 24-21 win after it looked like they would cruise to a blow out. The Colts are for real dont get me wrong, they have won there last 4 games by 17+ points each time out but the 49ers are 2-0-1 as a road dog this year including an outright opening day win at Arizona and an almost outright win vs Minny barring a hail mary by Favre in Minnesota. 13 points is too many here. Indy wins by 7, take the niners and the points.
Couple others to consider-
Giants pk
Was anyone really impressed with Phillys win over Washington Monday night? I wasnt, 13 pts off turnovers and a couple big plays by Jackson, other than that this is a very average team right now. Giants get refocused this week and win outright on the road.
Bills +3.5
Houston is a more talented team but its getting that time of year where the indoor teams struggle outdoors and Buffalo is never a fun place for teams like Houston to play especially from November on. The Bills defense has allowed only 2 Tds in there last 40 drives defended. Dont expect a lot of scoring here, take the Bills +3.5 at home.
Good luck sailors!
