30 weeks on Poker Stars or Full Tilt, whatever majority decides.

Top 20 weeks count

$50 per week, need at least 15 players;

at 15 players = $22,500

$750 a week (with minimum 15 players) $400 goes to kitty for World Series, $350 goes for each week, $250 for 1st, $100 for 2nd,

at end of tournament there is $12,000 for Winner, $10,000 for entry fee and $2000 for airfare, hotel, food, etc?

obviously if there was more players there would be more for each tournament winner.

Something like we did last tourney 10 points for 1st, 7 for 2nd place, 5 for 3rd, 3 for 4th, and 1 point for 5th place.

Jack you hold money, we could have major tournaments for double points like last time (every 6 weeks there is a major) or keep every tournament the same.

There is plenty of room to play around with numbers or point system or both.

Question is Jack is this a possibility? Would any book sponsor part of it? And Madjackers how many people would play? Only 20 of 30 would count so you would not have to make every week?.

i'm thinking everybody participating would have to put all the money upfront so that nobody drops out screwing up the grand prize money at the end.

getting 15 people to put up $1500 might be difficult. :shrug:

Agree...that it might be hard getting enough to put up the $$ upfront, but think we should do something like this for next years WSOP. If we can't get enough interest or $$ for the Main event, let's at least get something done for a smaller event....I'm definitely interested.

As an added incentive, maybe all participants could get a small % of any winnings of this Madjacks satellite if they happen to cash...just a thought.

Phenom, if you want get my email from Jack. We have done a live 25 week tournament the last 2 years. The first year we had 11, last year 15. I have figures from anywhere from 11-25 players. It might give you some ideas. It has all kinds of details, and we split any winnings at the Main Event. We are sending 3 players this year, the top two point getters and 1 random (the winner of Week 25) Anyway if you are interested let me know

Biggest problem I can see like Jack said is getting people to pay up front, because if we start with 20 or so and some people realize that they don't have a shot 10 weeks in, then they stop playing at we don't have enough to get the amount we need to send someone to The Main Event.

It would be extremely hard for me to commit to a mega multi week type of deal but if you guys would like to have the every now and then MTT private madjacks tourney at Stars for say $20 to $50 buyins I'd be interested.
I'd be REALLY curious to see how the cardfall is on a private game as I've never been in one. When I first started playing on Stars I won a pretty decent amount but have been slowly giving alot of it back. Seems like after that first healthy withdrawl the FU switch has been on ever since.
Sounds like a good time though, even if we just get an 18 seat sitngo type game.
