I really don't think the Ravens can afford to be thinking about the Steelers the next week, not at 5-4. I like the matchup with the game next week, so much I am willing to make our side wager.

one game at a time for me :SIB

Well, if it is a set up then I'm going to pay to see the river...

Colts +1... is the play.

Ugggh... :142smilie

I already bet it too. I think the worst that can happen is getting the Ravens +2 or more should I decide to change my mind

I want to put my savings account on the Colts... which means it's a Ravens victory

can certainly understand that thinking..

but when we look at it in the context that some folks will bet on a horrific team like Clev. simply because it's Monday Night Football. and action is a must..

Surely a % wager of bankroll is at the very least a solid investment..

a head coach goes for 2 yards from his own 28 yard line so as to not give Payton the ball back .Despite the chances are the drive to beat his club would have to go 70 yards for a TD in less than 2 min.'s

NOW...the offer is Payton for a whole game against a club he has absolutely crushed time after time ..both home and away..

I think we are all quilty of trying to over-think the room..

Some guys make 300-400 wagers a year varying in range between 50.00 and 300.00 bucks aroo's and then scratch their heads when a line is posted that is just plain stupid..

Screw that...can't be much more thinking than the 400 other wagers can it.

So. Cal
judging by the title of this thread i thought we'd have some great analysis of last weeks raiders-cheifs game....or this weeks clowns-lions game.....or the grand-daddy of em all, the upcoming raiders-clowns game.

will the total be in the 20's for that one????

The over might be the better play in this one. Indy isn't the best run stopping team. Ray Rice is going to go off on them IMO. Ravens secondary is bad this year so Peyton will light them up.

One thing to think about with Peyton is he doesn't do great with pressure in his face. Ravens will get to him.

One thing that worries me with a line like this is when it looks to be good to be true it usually is to good to be true. :142smilie

"the bunker"
suggs is probably out(possibly for the season)...

who`s gonna rush manning?......

this team`s personnel is way below what it was last season...the secondary is shit(bringing in foxworth and this little stiff carr from tennessee)?...

no suggs...the linebacking corp is ray lewis and who?...

we`ve been using plugger haloti ngata as a defensive end...we`re playing 2 nose tackles in a 3/4.....and ngata isn`t a certainty for the game...and heap may not play...

and the ravens` history vs manning?...not exactly encouraging...we always suck vs any big-time passing offense...

so in summation...smallish, bad covering secondary....little pass rush....and on offense we have nobody to stretch the field......

not to mention no proven field goal kicker(we just zapped our kicker)......if the front office hadn`t decided to send matt stover packing,we`d be a deceiving 7-2,not realistic 5-4.....

so.....the way this season`s gone, bet the house on the ravens...i expect the money will be all over the colts and i fully expect the refs to make it impossible for them to move the ball...

if seeing is believing ... i CAN'T BELIEVE RAVENS ARE GONNA TOUCH INDY'S OFFENSE so i'll take Indy and the OVER in first half and then for the game just Indy...

Jack is this game a LOCK?

Pinny has it at pk-111 and 5dimes pk-120

there is no such thing as a lock, jase. i'm starting to think that by kickoff the line might be colts -3

where did pinny open the game?

mathematically, the line is probably correct in the +/-1 range, i didn't do the math. but, anybody who follows the Ravens knows it's very, very unlikely they pull off a win Sunday in this matchup.

Ravens do have a much better than average home field advantage going back 8 years and they will certainly be motivated to give 200%, plus the Colts don't really NEED the win.

I see the Colts winning easily.

Have you ever watched the colts? They are infamous at playing close games and coming back and winning! Peyton Manning didn't make his name in the league with an amazing defense or great run game so why do you think the lack of them now will cause them to lose?

As far as clock control goes have you watched TOP for opponents playing the colts? Indy has been dominated in every game. I mean they hold the record for the least ball control in a win, and that happened this year!

In the end the colts could lose this game, but your reasons are suspect to me.

First off - I didn't say the Colts were going to LOSE this game, I just stated that I wasn't surprised by the line and detailed a blueprint of how the Colts could lose.

Colts are banged up and off of an emotional win in their game of the year. With no pressure to win on the undefeated Colts, I like Balt to win this game.
