I don't know about you guys, but the gentlemen with his feet on fire made me very thankful to live in the good ol'e US of A. On the bright side, no more pesky toenails to clip.....:00hour

For some reason the picture that disturbs me the most is the one with the house on fire and they show the picture of the little girl with an evil grin on her face.

Reminded me of the very last scene from the first Omen movie, when Damien turns to the camera at the funeral of his father.

I feel sorry for you. Pictures like this actually do the exact opposite to me. It reinforces the fact that there has to be someone that created such beauty. I just hope I don't see you in the afterlife, because it won't be in a very nice place.

You should pray for me. We all know the power of prayer works miracles.

Read sometime ago that the guy doing the shooting was the mayor of the town and the guy getting shot had raped his daughter. Can't be sure but the actual explanation was revealed later.

I'll look into it because it was definatly a moving picture.

And good luck to you with that Hell thing you have going on. :(

The thing that bothers me most about hard-core atheists and hard-core believers is the same thing. Both seem intolerant of the other's views.

BTW, why did you capitalize hell? Just curious

Just because it's a slow day between meetings I wanted to throw in my take on the perception of VAST EXISTENCE.

The theory of the universe states that it at one time was the size of two particles, referred to as the God particle if I remember the CERN paper correctly. Over billions of years the universe, through the Big Bang theory has increased in size to what it is today.

I don't think we as humans correctly perceive size. Not a few hundred years ago we believed that the universe was centered at the earth.

My point is, we as a race of beings have a lot to understand, and "size" on a universal scale is one of them.

To say a Supreme Being, the Almighty, couldn't create such a vast space is taking today's universe into perspective, when science suggests that at one time it was smaller than two particles so dense, that when they collided, the mass resulted in today's "universe".

It is quite simply one of the biggest question marks in science today.

Look at nanotechnology. A world within our world. A universe if you will as science extends out .

I don't have any of the answers but I am pointing out that size is not a factor of billions of years of universal evoliution both of this world and beyond...

I'll put the pipe down now :D

wow man...

wow man...

kinda makes me think opposite of that---gl with your play though

jk--but seriously the intricacies of pics like the unborn baby make me think we didn't just appear because lightning struck water

Great pictures. Glad to see you are finally off the Wimp.com links.

I liked the picture of space that shows all of the different galaxies. That's when I think of religion and how absurd it is to think that some supreme being has anything to do with life on earth (or even gave a shit if one existed).

I think that's the funny part.

Funny how a few hundred years ago we all thought the Earth was the centre of the universe...
...now only hard-core religious people do.

God created us...well, actually only man, the chick was an afterthought...but he saw mankind and elephants (but not dinosaurs) and thought, you know what, these other billions and billions and billions of planets/stars/galaxies I've produced, to hell (oh, a pun! :0corn ) with them all.
The Earth is where it's at baby!! :00hour

The image of hell is still based on the belief that it's 'down there', ie. the centre of the Earth...

And yeah, on the hell thing jhawksoon, gmroz clearly doesn't believe in the place, so I'm not sure what you gain from trying to 'scare' :)scared ) him...

The hypocrasy of your average god-fearer never ceases to amaze me.

1) He doesn't care where you think he'll end up...
2) You shouldn't care where such an evil beng will end up (obviously nowhere near you, Your Grace)...
3) Beating up on fags doesn't make you any more of a 'man' in god's eyes.

EDIT: Oh, and thanks a bunch for answering my original question in this thread about when thinhgs go wrong after we are all born so friendly and care-free...
...it's probably about the time we are introduced to organised religion and taught to hate 'evil'...ie. the opposition...ie. anyone different than ourselves.
