We already saw it last year.
I thought it was going to be one of the best bowl games of the year and it was quite boring.

If these non-BCS schools are as good as the BCS schools, then wouldn't they be honored to be playing such a strong opponent?

Well with all the doubters out there, i'm sure Boise St & TCU would rather take on a Florida. They don't gain much in the eyes of some by beating on each other.

Typical BS......I mean BCS. They want the teams who bring the most boosters to eat in thier restaraunt and Fiesta got stuck with these 2. Wouldn't it have been fun to see how these 2 would have fared vs the top conferences. I liked the old bowl system better.

You knew this was going to happen. Blame Utah, blame Boise St. There was no way those f'ing BCS crooks were going to allow another non-bcs school show what a sham the bcs is. Make them play each other. That way BCS schools dont get exposed. They can argue they deserve a chance, they are the best, but this insures that whoever wins will be dismissed as a non-bcs school who didnt even beat a bcs school in their big bowl game. its all about the money these f'ing cock-sucking crooks rake in. and, if I hear one more person say alabama only lost becuse they didnt care about the sugar bowl, i'm going go exhume bear bryants body and take it to a Vegas craps table. I will also say if Saban couldnt get his boys up for a SUGAR BOWL game, then he's not much of a coach. As if that team was SO SICK of playing in BCS bowls/Sugar Bowls. It was a month after they lost the SEC Champ game. Were they all on the rag? Were they really too busy crying? Utah beat the living tar out of them. Plain and simple. Alabama is not a program that takes Sugar Bowls lightly. They just got plain hammered by a better Ute team. Yeah, I guess TCU-Boise St really pisses me off and makes it clear these faags running the BCS only care about keeping the money rolling in for themselves.

YEP!!!! MWC has punished SEC AND PAC 10 SCHOOLS TOO MANY TIMES... TCU WOULD BEAT ALABAMA ANY DAY (EXCEPT YESTERDAY)... I never saw ALA play as well as they did yesterday in the 2 years I have been force fed games I had to watch of them....

I think they are close to or better than .500 vs the Pac in recent years. Not to mention that Utah beat down of poor Pitt in the Fiesta Bowl. Utah has not really been challenged in their 2 trips to the BCS. How many other BCS schools can say that? The "2 times" and/or the ""Not really challenged" part?

Well, that's my point... NOT REALLY CHALLENGED... I am hoping and predicting a pretty good game with TCU/BOISE.... But I think TCU vs CINCI or Boise vs CINCI and maybe even TCU get a crack for the CHAMPIONSHIP based on that MWC has GONE TWO YEARS IN A ROW WITH ZERO LOSSES THROUGH THE SEASON AND THE BOWL GAME (with 1 BOWL GAME TO GO)... (Saying the champ of MWC).... HAS SEC DONE THAT???? YES. So, that team (ALA) IS GOING....

Just trying to make another point about MWC, (Im still wasting my breath I know guys on this mute point; but as a fan of college foots, it does suck...) I wish we had MORE GAMES IN THE YEAR (Just add a 4 week playoff system (4 gms)) and see what happens like the 64(5) in College Hoops or something....

Anyways, I just liked seeing that others were shocked, but not totally surprised that the big money conferences OBVIOUSLY ARE AFRAID OF ANOTHER EMBARASSMENT, PLAIN AND SIMPLE...

If I didnt think (or hope) that someday MAYBE, it will change, I wouldnt be posting 2 or 3 times a year on this point. I believe it will... But dammit, its gonna take ALOT OF FUCKING MONEY AND TIME!

Yeah, couldnt agree more. There is an obvious reason they put those 2 together after recent years of BCS embarrassments. God forbid TCU should crush Florida and knock out Timmy. They had a similar problem last year when Alabama got beat down. That would be bad for their corrupt business. F Them.

Absolutely right. Too bad there are crooks running the BCS bullshit. TCU got shafted and the game between TCU and Boise is nothing more than two mid majors playing each other like any other time during the season. Making them play each other ensures no BCS team gets exposed. How sad is that?

Utah has not really been challenged in their 2 trips to the BCS. How many other BCS schools can say that? The "2 times" and/or the ""Not really challenged" part?

Texas is 3-0 in BCS games. As for the not really challenged part: They have won all 3 games by a total of 7 points.

USC is 6-1 in BCS games and all 6 wins were by 14 or more points. That is impressive. Only loss is by 3 in what is considered the greatest BCS game of all time.

LSU is 4-0 in BCS and only the 21-14 win over OU was close.

Also West Virgina is 2-0 in BCS and crushed OU and was more than in control as a dog vs UGA in the '06 Sugar Bowl.

So there is some history of success for big schools and none of them got to play Pitt.

I will be the first to say that iot sucks that TCU is not at least playing Florida, but to say no other schools have had success in BCS is wrong.

FSU on the other hand is 1-5 in BCS games and ND is 0-3.:mj07:

I can't believe this many years have gone by with so much out cry for a playoff system and still nothing. No other sport in the country ignores the fans like this. Hell the NFL and Nascar change rules in mid-season at times.

They dont want to change it because financially it won't be as profitable for them. They have 5 championship games now with huge sponsors for each championship game. They are money grubbing bastards.

With a playoff, they'll have one championship game and the possibility of a Boise, Utah, TCU type team playing in it. Money makes this bullshit go round.

Well they could still have these teams play for Rose Bowl Championship and Orange and so on and still have them play in the and 1 game.
I mean who wants to see Alabams play Cincy and Texas play TCU for Fiesta and Sugar Bowl titles then the winners play in the BCS title game.
Everyone wins except a school like Iowa and Boise who would then not be in a BCS.
But raise your hand if you are looking forward to watching Iowa in a BCS game and you are not a Iowa fan. I don't see a single hand in the air.

The biggest problem with lifting a Sugar Bowl trophy is that it is almost meaningless these days as every team just has their eye on one thing:The BCS title.
The media build up for the BCS title game has CRUSHED the value of any other Bowl trophy and that is how the NCAA has played it up so it the NCAA's own doing that the other bowls are mostly just a reason for most to watch a game.
You think any fan or player of Florida gives a damn about the Sugar Bowl today. NO
Now maybe it will be a in the moment celebration if they win but teams only teams like Cincy or Oregon who never get these trophies and rarely play for them care about them.
