Yeah, Sponge, you're the only one around here, or anywhere, that has this thing "figured out."
What the Hell are you talking about? Are you saying Brett Favre is on the take, somehow? Is he hooked into some kind of syndicate? All those games for all those years - big money, heavily bet games - that he led his team back from being down, or kept them going over the number, or kept it just under by being just right with his drives and touchdown/FG maneuvers, all those crazy flip passes when some of them worked, some didn't, those maniacal bombs when he's going down in a heap, some worked, some didn't, etc., etc., etc. He is controlling these games for who, exactly? Brett Favre? He needs the money?
Carson Palmer is on the take, too? The Carson Palmer from USC, the top draft pick that's a multi-millionaire, and probably has been since college? He's on the take, too? And you know exactly which games these guys are gonna be on the take and which ones they aren't?
If you can pinpoint this stuff, and know so much about it, why haven't you retired by betting on just the guys that you know are on the take?
Man, these kind of threads pop up every so often, and while I don't discount some questionable things from time to time, the guys that claim to know when this stuff is happening, with guys like Favre and Palmer, just crack me up. And it never fails, they go off and say anyone who doesn't believe them are thick headed and stupid.
And yet, as mentioned above, they are so smart that they spend time on a posting board and work a regular job. Nothing wrong with it, but if you really knew what was going on, and could tell everyone what was going on, why wouldn't you just retire on your knowledge and skill? Live in Vegas, hit a couple hundred thousand per game, and have a coven of hotties around until the next game came around?
Did the league tell Favre to look like shit on National TV the other night against Carolina? What possible good would that do for the NFL? That helps their ratings and sell ads how, exactly? Wouldn't it make more sense to see Minny and New Orleans both undefeated or close to it, in that big game down the road? Or, they just wanted to make the second best team in the league look bad to hurt their ratings later? They want people to doubt Favre and not watch? Or they want to pump up Carolina now?
What a joke. But thanks for "helping" us...
