Games like this I can not for the life of me figure out. Everything I analyzed made me think this was going to be an easy cover. How do you factor in all the turnovers (currently 13) and the fouls (currently 17). Does SC have that much of a home court advantage? Its inexplicable!

Better Luck next time Tony

Better Luck next time Tony

Approximately 1 month ago Pacific played Santa Clara at home and won by nearly 30. Tonight, Pacific goes on the road to Santa Clara. Santa Clara's leading scorer, Kevin Foster is out according to sources with an injured ankle. Now Santa Clara scored 57 points in the last meeting not even a month ago. Guess how many of those points were scored by Foster?

If you guessed 50% you were close. He scored 22 of the 57 points that night.

I think Pacific, who has no injuries listed can cover the 5 on the road tonight. A No Brainer actually.

10 unit play. Load up fellas:00hour

Ouch... :(

Never bet against a team getting points when playing a team that embarrassed them the last meeting. Im sure Santa Clara had this game circled on the calendar.

Ouch is Right.

Every once in a while a good swift kick in the balls helps to keep your selections in perspective.

Looking back on this, I would still have hit it hard, thats the scary part. :scared

What is perplexing is that the oddsmakers made this line so attractive to take Pacific. I and several others could not see how SC would keep this close under the circumstances. What info did the oddsmakers rely upon that generated such an enticing line? Did they figure it was a 30 point home court advantage for Santa Clara? Did they know it was going to be a Pacific Foulfest? Did they predict the 13 turnovers by Pacific? What weight did they give for the injured player being out?

Ah, I know its time to move forward, but these unanswered questions make you second guess all your other selections.
