Emotion in the Superdome today

Something that is hard to consider when capping but will be palpable today - the emotions that are starting to stir for New Orleans residents this morning (I know b/c I'm one of them) are extremely strong, and the frenzy that people will be whipped into by gametime, I promise, will be unbelievable - this game is about more than football for us, there is still an undeniable link b/t this team and this stadium and hurricane Katrina

I believe that outside of the night shown in the video today will be the most spirited atmosphere in Saints history

I am not afraid to bet against my home teams and do so routinely

Today I have a dime on the Saints - I suggest you all make the same play

Signing Deuce yesterday will only increase the volume and atmosphere in the dome. I think it was a brilliant move for Payton to sign him and make him a captain tonight. The team loves Deuce, and the fans love hime more. Folks are jacked up, and so am I!!!!

Would love to face a Cowboys team that has had to play a bunch of meaningful games in a row, and that won in our place a month ago, would be a big advantage for Saints

Jack, you could never, in a million years, explain what is was like in that 1st game back in the Dome after the hurricane - and then a couple of minutes in Steve Gleason blocks a punt and we recover in EZ

That performance was by U2/Green Day was about a half an hour before the game, and I am not afraid to say I was crying then and I STILL cry every time I watch that video - there has never been an easier game to handicap in the history of time than that one..........we were not going to lose that night and that's pretty much how I felt about last night


Next week will not be so easy, although like I said we want the Cowboys and I will be very confident striding into the Dome next Sunday if we get them again


Sorry for the rambling!!!!!!!!!!!! Going to grab me a little hair of the dog to get rid of this hangover!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
