Outrights:
Chris Wood(66/1) e.w.
- - I'm confident his game is very solid at the moment, and despite struggling to figure out how to close out events, he's due to do a better job of precisely that, and good driving and putting and "reputed to ridiculous" winds of Doha are a well matched spot for a solid start that sets up a chance to close.
Ian Poulter(20/1) e.w.
- - I was at least a little bit surprised that Poulter's game was sharp enough to chase down Kaymer last week (before being passed back at the end). Much going for him this week, IMO.
Paul Lawrie(150/1) e.w.
- - This would be the spot I would have circled last October as the best spot for Lawrie to get a little bit encouraged about where his game is at, but as ever he needs to hole those few more putts from all situations over the course of all four rounds to get where winners generally emerge from.
