98mph, padding won't do squat. Could possibly see some kinda plexi wall similar to hockey being used. At least keep the rider on the track?
They are already talking of slowing them down or starting lower on the coarse, bullshit. Riders know the risks, and possible outcome. Thats what makes the sport so intriguing. Yes that was sickening to watch, but pay attention to how the other riders respond. The true bad asses will rise to the top.
