Seems to me, Wayne, that Clift was defining her take on what the Democratic Base consists of. Not what "Da Base" is. Did she use YOUR term "DA Base?" I don't think so. And that, to me, is the difference. And where racism does enter into the discussion. Had she said "Da Base" to try to make a point, that would be equal to what you are insinuating.
Again, it is no mystery to me why 98% of black people would vote for Obama in the last election, considering what black people have been through in this country, and electing him would represent for the entire group of black people in this country. I would not expect the same vast percentage to that degree in the next election.
