Hope you Americans realize that the number one athlete in the USA is Ryan Miller, not Kobe, not Payton Mannning, not Lebron, it is Ryan Miller.

No player is more important to his team then Ryan Miller.

If Ryan Miller was a Canuck he'd be on our money.

Ryan Miller is amazing.

Sorry - But that is retarded. Ryan Miller is no where even close to Lebron James or Peyton Manning. Have you seen the record of the Cavs when Lebron doesn't play? I'm happy for you the Canadians won, but let's not go overboard.

Just ask the Buffalo Sabres where they'd be without Miller.......

It doesn't compare.

No player more important to his team then Miller.

Sure Lebron and Payton are huge for their teams, huge, but it doesn't compare to Miller......just ask any Sabre fan and they'll tell you.

No position in sport more important then a hockey goalie, none.

Miller is a god.

Lebron, Kobe and Payton are amazing, but Sabres and team USA would be nowhere without Miller. Would USA win the basketball silver without Lebron, yep. Not so in hockey silver.

Sabres would be nowhere without Miller.

80% or higher of this country couldnt give a rats ass about hockey(me included). Dont fool yourself into thinking this will change a thing or the passion your country has for this will ever make it to the mainstream of this country. He is obviously very good, but a week from now I wont even remember his name

That is a ridiculous statement. As much as I hate Peyton you take him off the Colts and they go from Super Bowl contender to winning 2 games a year.

UGA12...you are right 80% of Americans pay no attention.....I agree with you.

But if you knew hockey, you'd know just how important Miller is to his team.

NFL and NBA are big in the USA, that is why gmrozz is saying "get real". But if you knew hockey you'd know just how good Miller is.

Bottom line, if ya knew hockey you'd know what I am talking about.

If ya don't you'd call me insane:142smilie

Trust me when I tell you......Miller is more important to his team, he just is.

Master Yoda, you are 100 percent right...no Payton, Indy is fucked.

Same holds true for Miller.......

Sabres and team USA would be fucked without Miller.

Keep in mind Miller on ice the whole game....Payton on field only when offense on the field.

See what I mean.

A hockey guy will come in here and back me up.....trust me....Miller is a god.

What is Miller's goals against average versus the average for an NHL goalie?

His goals against average is 2nd best........but unfortunately the team in front of him makes tons of errors and he bails em out over and over again. Guy makes saves when his team needs it.

You should see how many games he wins all by himself.

so far this year 1597 shots 111 goals allowed

Sabres outplayed over and over again and he bails em out.

And team USA would NOT be silver medalist without Miller that is for damn sure.

So, basically, by your theory you are saying R. Miller is better than M. Jordan in his prime. It's ridiculous... You can't compare players from different sports.

Ryan Miller is a great player, but comparing him to Lebron James and Peyton Manning shows your lack of knowledge of football and basketball. Enjoy your victory, but let's be realistic.

For the record.....I said Miller is MORE IMPORTANT to his team

I am not comparing talent.....I am saying he is MORE IMPORTANT to his team.

Oh and I have seen about 100 Indy Colts games, so yes I have seen Payton play before:142smilie

Sorry, but I think if you look at his value over an average goalie versus Kobe's value versus an average NBA guard it won't be close. The Sabres would be worse, but the Lakers would be dead in the water.

Really? Then if you have seen Peyton play 100 times you would realize what an uninformed statement you posted. The Colts wouldn't win two games without Peyton and I'm not a Colts fan. The same goes for Lebron - The Cavs wouldn't even sniff the playoffs without him.
