That's my point.....ya should care.....but sadly most American like watching a bunch a scumbags dribble a basketball.

But my point still stands....Miller is just as important to his team as Payton, Kobe, and Lebron. Sadly Americans pay little attention to real sports.

Miller is amazing.

That's not what you originally posted you said he was better than those athletes. Furthermore, now you're calling basketball players scumbags... Jesus... Americans love their basketball and Canadians love their hockey... Hockey is a real sport? That is your opinion and it will never be big in the USA, because basketball and football players actually have amazing athleticism not a bunch of white boys on skates.

Basketball was invented by a Canuck.....and I love watching and playing basketball. Basketball is a great sport.

NBA for that matter is filled with a bunch of scum. Nobody can argue that. 90 percent of NBA players could give two shits about their teamates. All individuals and no team unity. They bring guns to locker rooms for fucks sake:142smilie

And fine......"just as important" as Kobe, Lebron and Payton....there everybody happy now:142smilie

30% of Americans watch NBA regularly and I'm from a major metropolitan area... my point being who cares about the NBA?

I agree the Miller is important to his team but so is the water boy... which reminds me of a similar argument.

Coach Klein: Gatorade not only quenches your thirst better, it tastes better too.
Bobby Boucher: No, you people are drinkin the wrong water.
Coach Klein: Gatorade.
Bobby Boucher: H2O.
Coach Klein: Gatorade.
Bobby Boucher: H2O.
Coach Klein: [singing] Water sucks. It really, really sucks. Water sucks.

KS,

let's put things in perspective, a good goalie in the NHL will get you far, miller maybe very far.

but in the nfl, a good qb doesn't compare to Peyton.

Look at gigi for anaheim, one year amazing, next year flap on his face.
peyton has been amazing for how many years?

Doc.....I guess I should have said..."this season". When Payton started playing Ryan wasn't even in the league.

And you know hockey Doc....you know that no position in sport is more important then a hockey goalie...no other position comes close...none.

Ya do realize that Payton only on the field when offense is on the field right?

Joker.....how one can actually like baseball and not like hockey is beyond me......one of lifes most complexing questions?

How could you not enjoy that hockey game:shrug:

And by the way......downfall only in USA.....we Canucks could care less about baseball and nascar, too each their own I guess. I myself love almost every sport. Americans seem to just like few sports.....perplexing:shrug:

I'll say it again...how can ya watch that gold medal game and not enjoy it?

Baseball......the most boring sport on planet earth, yet people pay to watch that shit......if Americans find baseball enjoyable but watch that gold medal game and say "no thanks"......it just boggles the mind.

Hockey is life:cool:

Oh and Ryan Miller is good

I enjoyed watching the gold medal game. I could never in my entire life watch another game of hockey and be just fine with that. I am a true Golf and NFL fan - I guess I only have room for two sports. Hockey has been on a decline for years now, hard to argue that point......maybe the USA/CAN Olympic game will create new fans for the game.....

Yep...should bring in some new US fans.....so that's good. I mean if you've never watched hockey before you had to have enjoyed that game.

The strike season and losing ESPN was a serious blow to the NHL.
Versus is a nice deal but that channel doesnt have the exposure to carry the sport.
NBC tries but that is only because nobody else is willing.

NHL needs a better tv deal is the bottom line to get this sport going again.
