All that was missing was for that douchebag Ashton Kutcher to run out and say she was Punked. I might actually watch that episode...

Pawn Stars would give maybe $7000

:mj07:

yyz's comment from awhile ago. "Do you have change for a dollar? We can only give you a quarter for that"

:mj07: :mj07:

That show is great, I missed the one a day or so ago with the guy hawking the keys that fire Russian nuclear warheads. Anybody catch the price on that one???

I think the guy wanted something like $10k and Rick offered him $1k, then $1,500. Needless to say, no dealio.

GUY: but your man said it's museum quality.

Rick: Yeah, but a museum won't give you any money for it :mj07:

Thanks. Thought it would be cool to rig my 55 fords ignition to accept a key like that. Talk about a head turner, lol.

No problem. Yeah, that would be original! Then again, you would probably have to explain to everybody what it was.

Oh, and not that it matters, but the "expert" who came in said the keys weren't actually for nukes. It was for some kind of Russian aircraft, can't remember what exactly though.

That's about right. And after the buddy shows up:

Buddy: Holy hell, this is the original Shroud of Turin! I just pissed myself! In this condition, you could expect to get anywhere from $4 - $6 million for this piece.

Rick: So what are you lookin' to get out of it?

Customer: Well, based on what he said, $4 million?

Rick: Scratches head and grimaces... Naaaah, I'm not going to be able to get anywhere near that. I could give you, say, $300 bucks for it?

Love to see Rick at the Antique Roadshow:

Well sir.......the "auction price is 2.9 million", but that's the "auction price". After the "handling fee" it works out to about 200 bucks. I'll give you 20 bucks for it. This is a business, I have to make a profit.:mj07:

Oh and ya think that chick would be a tad more excited:shrug:

and they ended up being soviet space shuttle launch keys which are actually more rare

Ah, that was it. Couldn't remember what they were specifically. I liked how the guy said he was happy they weren't for nukes, because now he doesn't feel so "creepy" for owning them. :mj07:
