wait til next year when curry , irving, thornton carracter and hairston join them. if singler and smith stay they will be as loaded as unc was last year. this year was as good of a coaching job as you will see. losing by 20 to state and getting blown out by georgetown they changed their team. nice to win when you have only 1 first round nba player.

Man you are such a complete, fucking douchebag.

Your post above is the exact reason why people can't stand duke fans.

As a carolina fan I put my grudge aside and painstakingly type the words that are difficult to say, congratulating a duke team.

Instead of acknowledging that or just humbly accepting the congratulations/olive branch, you proceed to have diarrhea of the mouth about how great next year is going to be.

If you want to take off the blue colored glasses you will realize that duke was an above average team this year, that got the easiest draw of all 1 seeds, then had a series of major upsets clear the path only for them to struggle and need to grind out a 2 point win against BUTLER.

Go back and look at Carolina's '05 and '09 championship games and let me know about the margin of victory.

I'll stand by my congrats but I'll also stand by the fact that you are the biggest asswipe on MJs.

To end my rant, I'd just like to say that like a complete loser duke fan, you are at home posting on MJs after your team wins it all. No friends to celebrate with. No trip to Durham. Just a few posts pounding your chest on an anonymous message board because as big of a loser as you seem on madjacks, you are probably 10x the loser in real life.

The only part of the game that I enjoyed tonight was the last play of the game when that douchebag Singler got blasted on the screen at midcourt by Howard.
The gravey would have been the shot falling or if the screen would have been set on the bigger douchebag Scheyer.

Oh and I don't know about past years but this year the ACC was about the 4th best conference top to bottom and I don't even think that is in question.

acc has been down the last couple of years if we are talking top to bottom. Obviously they still have good teams at the top as seen by the final four.

What conference is a stupid and irrelevant argument to begin with, and whatever team win the title certainly doesnt tell you who has the best conference - if Butler hits one more shot I suspect you wouldnt have been arguing the Horizon League was the best.

Bottom line is Duke got a cushy draw and took care of business. It doesnt mean shit as to the ACC

ACC was simply very average this year. Duke and Maryland were above average. The one thing about the ACC was that it was average top to bottom, where a conf like Big East was really good at the top but really bad at the bottom.

Duke took advantage of all the mediocrity and won the conf and got the 1-seed.

There was no great coaching job. They played average teams all through the tourney. Putting Purdue in thier was pretty crappy by the selection committee, everything else was just dumb luck which I always hope UNC gets (meaning upsets).

Avoided Villanova. Avoided Kentucky b/c they have a horrid shooting night after such a great season. And Baylor got dicked against them. Then survived Butler who outplayed them.

Congrats for winning it all, but I've never seen a season set up so easy for a team in any sport in all my life.

Pretty good post . . . Cie doesn't want to talk about conference superiority (now that football season is over) and a UNC backer discussing why everyone hates Duke.

Keep it up, Gents - nice job!!

i believe since 1972[ according to local radio show. please check for accuracy if you like] the big four in north carolina-duke,unc,wake,nc state - have never had more than 2 years in a row when one team was not in final four. does that impress you enough?
