Hopefully this is just some sick rumor.

This is being reported at other forums but still speculation it could be Jackie and Ken....still hard to believe there gone.

Foul play possible in two Haywood deaths

WAYNESVILLE ? The Police Department has opened a criminal investigation after two bodies were found at a residence early Saturday.

Few details were available as of late Saturday. Police Chief Bill Hollingsed said police were still trying to notify next of kin and more information would be released this afternoon.

The bodies were found about 12:45 a.m. at a residence on Intrepid Drive, Hollingsed said.

?We're investigating it as involving foul play,? he said.

WAYNESVILLE ? Waynesville police have identified two people who were found with fatal gunshot wounds early Saturday, and a man who may be connected to the case is in custody.

In a news conference at 1 p.m. today, Waynesville Police Chief Bill Hollingsed identified those who died as Robert Leroy Pennington, 34, and Mark Steven Hicks, 26, both of Waynesville.

A third man, David Preston Saxon Getty, 44, of Waynesville, is in the Haywood County Detention Center on unrelated weapons and drug charges, Hollingsed said.

Pennington and Hicks were both shot in the head at Getty's home at 34 Intrepid Drive, Hollingsed said. Getty made the 911 call to police at about 1 a.m. Saturday. He was later taken into custody.

Nephew Tells Friends EOG.com Owner Killed in Car Crash

While the online gambling community continued to speculate on the cause of "death" of an industry portal owner, the nephew of the supposedly slain man has told close family friends outside the industry that Kenneth Weitzner and his wife were "killed in a car accident".

Reports began surfacing late Saturday that the founder of TheRx and EOG, both sports betting forum sites, was dead. Everything from a murder/suicide to a home explosion was claimed. However, news reporters from Weitzner's home town of Chesapeake, Virginia were unaware of any murder, suicide or even a fatal car accident for that matter, neither were the local authorities.

Eulogies were being posted on various industry websites without any confirmation of the "death".

One website featured this long flowery poem:

"You are the elegance found after a first snow

That small, beautiful, blinding glow"

At the end, a link to "SLOT MACHINE FORUM".

The EOG.com website also featured a statement without any further details:

"As the first light of dawn creeps over the horizon sadness looms over Eye on Gambling and its posting body. EOG's founder Kenneth Weitzner aka "The Shrink" and his beloved wife Jackie aka "Scarlett" passed away on Saturday April 10, 2010."

The sister of Weitzer's wife, Jackie, issued this statement Sunday:

"Always remember the people that love you and never take anything or anyone for granted, you never know when it can be takin from you. Life is precious. Thank you everyone for your love I appreciate it so much more than yall will ever know, it's been a rough day."



"He (Weitzner) owed a ton of money to a number of offshore sportsbooks," claimed one Gambling911 source.

Man is this bizzare Tony Montana Shrinks stepson says

As you can imagine this is a terrible time for our family. I have lost my beautiful mother and my close friend and stepfather Ken.

I just want to come on xxx to confirm the lose. Ken and my mother have passed away. They took their own lives sometime late Wednesday night or early Thursday mornig with sleeping pills carbon monoxide...

I want to let all of you know that he lovedxxxand the posters...it was his passion. He mention this in a note he left for me and wanted to say he was sorry for leaving you all...mostly Mo, Blondie, Ball, and Jimmy who worked so hard to keepxxxrolling. I am at his desk...crying my eyes out as I type..

They left no reason for what they did thou I have my own ideas....I am just very sad and my heart is broken...I lost my best friend of the last 40+ years and the greatest mom a fellas could have....my heart is truely broken. If there is a heaven I know my mom is there planting flowers and waiting on her family to arrive one day....Kens family...by brother, our wives and their heartbroken grandchildren will celebrate their lives on Tuesday.

I know that there has been a lot of rumors flying around and I must admit I was worried this past week that something horrible had happened and my gut was right. I just wanted to come on and share with the folks at xxxwhat is the only truth in this terrible day....THE SHRINK and my mother are dead..

I was there opening day and it sucked.

It was nice seeing fans there but the concession stands were overwhelmed.

It took me two fucking innings to get some food and flat soda. Then by the end of the 5th inning most of the upper level was out of food, no hot dogs, no salt for the pretzels etc.

They get one day a year where they draw a healthy crowd and it was a clusterfuck. The upper level looked only 2/3rds full the whole time and it was because the other 1/3 was waiting in line.

So now they are back to drawing around 20K and they will be lucky to get that unless Boston or NY is in town.

I was just thinking this week, if I still lived there I would be going to more games. Not really as a big fan but just to relax and watch some baseball on a summer evening or weekend afternoon. The 20K crowds would make that experience even better. Better than fighting a full house every night, like it USED to be back when they first built that place.

If I lived closer I would end up with season tickets, but I am down the shore and thats a shitty drive up and back.

I do like the smaller crowds but would still be nice to see it packed with black and orange in August because the games meant something.

It will be full in august but will be full of yankees or redsox fans, nothing is worse then watching a game in your park with 30k+ asshole redsox fans.

The park is beautiful and nothing like getting some Boogs bbq while watching a game.
