I was there opening day and it sucked.

It was nice seeing fans there but the concession stands were overwhelmed.

It took me two fucking innings to get some food and flat soda. Then by the end of the 5th inning most of the upper level was out of food, no hot dogs, no salt for the pretzels etc.

They get one day a year where they draw a healthy crowd and it was a clusterfuck. The upper level looked only 2/3rds full the whole time and it was because the other 1/3 was waiting in line.

So now they are back to drawing around 20K and they will be lucky to get that unless Boston or NY is in town.

i hope something happens(short of death)that forces the greek sheikh to give up the team before it gets so bad he starts thinking about pulling an irsay.....but apparently he has sons waiting in the wings....

in the beginning i thought," wtf,a class action lawyer f-cking up in the beginning was more of an aberration than a harbinger....this is a top 5 franchise...the guy`s a businessman... this can`t continue"...

but it gets worse every year...the whole organization`s been scuppered...given 10 straight days of intravenous fish oil,angelos` baseball i.q. still wouldn`t hit double digits...

He completely fucked the franchise no doubt, at least we are at the point where MacPhail is calling all the shots and Angelos is keeping quiet for once, but the damage has been done.

I doubt he will sell, but a group led by Ripken and Bischotti would an incredible upgrade. If Angelos were to sell attendance would increase by at least 50% just based on him not being the owner.

The fucking guy totally ran me off and I was a lifetime O's fan since 1962. Ran me the fuck off. Imagine that. I never missed a game even if it had to be radio. The last straw was Mussina to the Yankees. I left and never looked back, never saw another game, nada. FUCK HIM!

I couldn't believe the O's traded Mussina let alone to the yanks.
But I was in heaven when he came aboard thanks to my fellow greek Mr. Angelos.

Mussina was a free agent but angelos all but drove him personally to NY by dicking him on a contract.

He did the same thing to Palmeiro his first go round here. He tries to outwait them and keep giving them lowball offers, that still has yet to change.

They offered Teixeira a decent offer but they knew it would not be nearly enough to get him, they do this so they can at least say to the fans they tried but there is a bias against us because we are not a winning franchise.

Everyone knows they are full of shit.

Tex hurts because he was from the area and was just kind of assumed that they would at least go all in to try and get him.

Angelos has to go even I know that, but at least Camden Yards is a nice ballpark.

I hear but this is just heresay that he was in tremedous debt to oversea books. I know one thing if my stepdad drug my mother down this path i would be pretty pissed off. I find it impossible to believe this was a double suicide. Murder/suicide? Who knows. they(guys at his site) just went to Vegas for March madness and he was treating for everything :shrug:

I disagree with your take.

His old site has too much traffic. Hard to weed through the BS.

His newer site is lame. Very little worthwhile discussion.

Of course, unlike yourself, I will allow others to form their own opinion, as this is clearly a subjective issue to anyone with half of a brain.
