Just wondering how many people are hoping the Cavaliers win tonight and win the series. I realize many could care less about this game, the cavaliers and the nba. However, being a life-long Ohioan and living a good part of it in Cleveland, curious as to how many on this board, who care one way or the other are pro-cav's (cleveland) or anti-cav's (cleveland).

Liviing in Cincinnati the majority of my life, there are many sports fans here who dislike everything Cleveland. "If its brown flush it down", mistake on the lake, etc. I don't get the same animosity from Cleveland fans toward Cincinnati. The sense I get from Cleveland fans toward Cincinnati is that they think they are a bunch of hillbilly's. You hear Cincitucky a lot. Now, Pittsburgh is a different story for both towns. I think both Cincinnati and Cleveland despise anything Pittsburgh first and foremost.

Anyway, back to the point of this thread, Cleveland ain't won diddly since 1964. Thats 46 years by my calculation. Cincinnati won in 1990, 1976, 1975, 1960. So, who hates the cav's and wants them to lose because its Cleveland. Also wondering of the AFC north teams, who would you vote for fan wise, that is, which fans do you think are the best and worst.

Here is my list from best to worst:

1: Ravens
2. Bengals
3. Browns
4. Steelers

Ravens are number 1 because pure and simple I know the least about them. Bengals fans are number 2 because I know the most about them. They are probably the least knowledgeable of the lot but I think are the most polite. Browns fans are knowledgeable but battery throwing, rude, crude, drunk, and otherwise very uncool. Steelers fans are pure mean and take their team way, way too seriously.

I know this thread is all over the board but I don't feel like working today and there ya go.

Eddie,

Having lived in Ohio for a couple years in the early 70's I always hope for the best for the Ohio teams, except... I really dislike LeBron, I really get tired of him. And I don't like "THE" university.

I remember seeing the Browns vs the Raiders in a snowstorm and we were the only, not really, but it seemed like it Raider Fans at the game. That was my first Pro Football Game. I saw the Indians against someone... and the Tribe hit several HR's and each time there were loud fireworks and my younger brother cried, he was 3 or 4? Also saw the Cleveland or Columbus Bears Hockey? Is that correct?

In tonights game, I really dislike both temas so I will be rooting for,um ... New Jersey :SIB

This kind of sums up, I think, why I didn't like Cincy when living there. It seems like there is a large part of the population there that identifies itself by who/what they hate.

Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Kentucky, the South, etc.

As for tonight's game, I don't follow the NBA very much but I am like most of the general public and want to see Lebron win. If I had a "favorite" NBA team it would be the Celtics, but there is no deep-rooted fanship there.

So, let's go Cavs.... I guess :)

after marrying a Pittsburgh gal I typically try to stand up for Steelers fans. However, a few years back went to a game at Heinz to see them play my team (the woeful Chiefs). anyway, had a deaf Steelers fan talk shit to me after the drubbing the Steelers put on KC.

How, you may ask, does a deaf guy talk shit, well through sign language of course. And not knowing a lick of sign language I don't know what he said exactly, but from the shit-eating grin on his face, I know it wasn't anything courteous.

I like people supporting their teams and all, but come on Steeler fans, their is more to life. Thats why most of us here in Ohio love it, and I mean love it, on the rare ocassions when one of our Ohio teams, Browns, Bengals, Bearcats beat up on a Pittsburgh team.

Kudos to the Steeler teams as winning the most championships. Y'all have good ownership and get good coaches and players, but its the fans, ah yes, those fans that piss me off. We are stuck with Mike Brown, Art Modell, Randy Lerner, Marge Schott, and other models of ineptitude in the state immediately to your left.

Also don't get me started on Philadelphia fans. Those people will come to Ohio with their ugly green jerseys stand right in front of you, give you the maloyke, and pick a fight for no fucking reason. Talk about psychopaths. Must be in the water.

Raider Fans are just as bad if not worse, just deplorable **individuals** I used to fly to Oakland twice a year for games and go to SD for the Game, no more, I don't need the BS, plus I can't carry in the stadium.

You are right, Ill. I went to a Raider game once in LA and you could hear the crowd roar every 15 minutes or so in different parts of the stadium when a fight would break out.

I want them to lose because of James. Plain and simple. I hope he never wins a championship. The moron wants to change his number to honor Jordan but he changes it to Bill Russell's number. I wish him a lifetime of 7th game chokes.

I could not say it better. No championships for Lebron ever. That's my wish.
