Was down on the harbor in Baltimore last year and had lump crab cakes--the were like 5-6 inches tall and 7-8 inches a round--could not eat it all but were great!

actually, they are more expensive then using real plates and having to wash them.

Jack, I saved Gayle's crabcake recipe when you posted it last year and have had pretty good success with it.

However, I remain convinced that the Gulf Coast Blue Crabs are far superior to what you Yankees get up there in Maryland.

I agree 100%. A lot of places get their crabs from down there, but NOBODY knows how to prepare them except people in Baltimore

I used to live down there and I hope they don't give you all females. I know there's no difference in taste but I have a head thing about eating them with that roe

and you know what a big fan of the MD crab cakes and how many I eat in the 4-5 trips I make there annually and we also make ours at home very similar that can rival anything you get at restaurants at much higher prices :toast:
