Baseball cards is about it.

I have some oddball coins and other money, but it is minimal and takes up no space.

My good baseball cards were collected in the early 60's but all that got thrown away by mom when we moved :scared

I started collecting again in the late 80's but the market fell apart and most aren't worth what I paid back then :sadwave:

Lots of rookies and sets from 1979 and up.

Have all of the above except most of mine is displayed in Rec. Room.

I collect the Danbury Mint Stadiums and try to get them signed at Card Shows.Excellent detail and top quality if you have never seen them.

I think my Barry Bonds autographed items has lost value. It used to be very high in value as he didn't like signing and was HOF bound.
Now?
Maybe when he dies it will see a spike with his lack of willingness to sign.

I think the market has come and gone a couple times. The next time, my shit goes to auction and I'm unloading.

I got most of my stuff at auctions.

Sadly these guys are asking WAY more than what they are worth to sign at shows.
Look at the prices at the Houston show next weekend:

Nolan Ryan $159 :scared

I got 2 Nolan Ryan balls with COA and I promise you that I could not get near $159 for the pair.

Harsh world but must wait til he dies.

Collected sports cards all through the 80's, into the early 90's. Had some nice ones, came close to starting a business, but a "friend" of mine ran off with boxes of my stuff, including great old record albums, etc. Like you mentioned, the bottom fell out, and I lost interest. I sought after rookie cards, and had a ton. Liked autographs, too. I remember specifically going around McGwire's rookie year and buying up all of those rookies at two different shows - I think they were going for 12 cents apiece at the time.

I had a stamp collection back in the day, thanks to an uncle who thought it would be good for me. I have my father's coin collection, some really nice coins, silver dollars, lincoln head cents, including a 1909 SVDB penny, which is worth a lot. I'll hold on to those things, as a memory of my father.

I have become fascinated with ancient relics and Tools. Its a trip to see tools that were used to help create. How the heck did we get by without power tools ?

I have a 1967 Colts football signed by most of the team.

The first panel is signed by Bubba Smith, Ordell Brasse, Lou Michaels, Jerry Hill, David Lee, Dick Symanski, and Raymond Berry.
The second panel is signed by Jim Parker, Jim Ward, Jerry Logan, Rick Volk, Willie Richardson, Butch Wilson, Roy Hilton, Andy Stmhula, Dennis Galbatz, Lenny Moore, Ray Perkins, Al Haymond and Jimmy Orr.
The third panel is signed by JOHNNY UNITAS, Glen Rissler, Bob Boyd, John Mackey, Tom Mattee, Lenny Lyles, Don Shinnick, Fred Mier, Billy Ray Smith, Sam Ball, Dan Sullivan, Bob Vogel, Tony Lorick, Jim Welsh, and Barry Brown.
There are five Hall of Fame members on the ball: Johnny Unitas, John Mackey, Lenny Moore, Jim Parker, and Raymond Berry.

My Dad bought it at a yard sale in '80 (we lived in MD at the time). I've seen others just like it since then so I'm guessing that it was some type of promotional thing. Either way, it's pretty cool.

Maybe you can donate it to the Indianapolis Colts so they can put it in their trophey case with all the other BALTIMORE COLTS trophys

Nice piece, BTW :toast:

I don't think I collected anything past 12 years old! :mj07:

I have some family WWII memorabilia that is worth a little money, but it's too important to me to sell. I have a couple of paintings that are worth a little as well.

Forgot about the Comic Book thing. I actually got into that briefly, and grabbed all the good X-Men comic books, the first ones and the exclusive ones. Still have those somewhere. Probably missed the "hot" boat on that one.
