I only see this one way and it's that there will be a Game 7. After tonight, it's still anybody's championship, but the Lakers get it done some how, some way tonight, whether they cover the spread or not. This is a very large play for me...

Food for thought:

The Lakers have lost three games in a row just once since trading for (stealing) Pau Gasol in February 2008, that was this season (March 4th - 7th) in which they played 3 road games in 4 days against Miami, Charlotte and Orlando and included a back to back the last two games. In the past 2 seasons (I didn't feel like going back farther) the Lakers have never lost to the same team three consecutive times. I realize this doesn't have much relevance in terms of Game 6, but my point is I don't think any team is capable of beating these guys 3 times in a row in this situation where they are returning hope with their backs up against the wall. Lakers role players will show up for this and Phil Jackson's superior coaching ability will shine. Hopefully Kobe won't have to do too much early in the game because I worry about him being burnt out and frustrated with his team late.
To me, it's Lakers or nothing, but I am just looking forward to sitting back and watching an entertaining game and hopefully a game 7.

Hey Deez - Something to consider, the series bet is -110 for bostson and lakers to win the series. It seem like a better bet is to go with LA for the series at -110, and hedge Boston +6 in game 7 if you think it is going to play out that way. As opposed to -280 ml tonight and possibly the same Thursday. That is the route I'm going with (LA series, Boston +6 Thursday for the middle). You could even do it tonight for the middle. Thoughts?

I can't disagree with you sf. That was the smart play and I would have been wise to put my money there instead. but I had a reason for just playing the Lakers this game. Even though I saw them at -110 for the series sunday night, I want no part of game 7. Not even a hedge. I just want to sit back and enjoy it. I was very confident in the Lakers tonight, but I have no idea who'll win game 7 if the lakers hold on here and I want to enjoy the game that way. This has been a great series and if I win tonight I end this playoffs with a small profit. I'll take that and just enjoy the final game. Hope you made the wise play on the Lakers, thanks for stopping in with your thoughtful input.
