Winning Money at Vegas Airport

I have always wondered if anybody has ever won money at the Vegas airport? They have slot machines everywhere. I mean what happens if you win a bunch of cash 10 minutes before you are going to board the plane:shrug:

I wonder how many flights a year get "fucked up" from some person winning on a slot machine?

If you won enough money, I'm sure taking another flight would be a non-issue.

You don't win at the airport. That's the whole point. They're just donation boxes for future airport improvements.

I don't play slots unless I have a few quarters in my pocket (and now since they don't even take change anymore, well you can figure it out), anyway, always played whatever quarters I had, once hit $600 on a single quarter.....wish I had 2 more (it would have paid $2500)......yes, it happened at the airport about 15 minutes before boarding.

I had an hour and a half wait for a flight about 15 years ago.
Slots still had coin payouts, long story short, I bought twenty dollars in dollar tokens figured WTF; having donated to the local economy, I was nearly tapped out.

In one of the slot areas a slot attendant an older oriental gal said "this machine due, this machine due".

Figure yeah, right....damn thing hit for $1000.00 after I invested $9.00...I flipped her $50 bucks and she looked insulted...


Yeah, right....goes to show, you never know.

Funny topic. Have been going to Vegas for 40+ years and have never seen anyone win...except my wife once hit for $250.

I won there last February while waiting for my flight to board. Think it was close to 55 because I used it to take a cab home in ATL.

Wouldn't normally play there though. It was video poker Deuce wild I think as Jack showed me it had better odds...

she payed me the grand and looked at me like a sick puppy dog....I probably would not have picked that particular machine...so WTF...Karma?
I hit a Royal flush on a quarter machine for 1200.00 at the Excalibur mid 80-s (before it turned into a dive) and they paid me and had their hands out.....shined them on big time.

We hadn't even claimed our bags in May when my buddy came over holding two of those huge buckets that you put your coins in at the casino. Put a 20 in a machine and 2 spins in it hit for 600. Made me drag his fukin' bag to the shuttle pick-up so he could carry his winnings. Good thing he shipped his bowling balls to Reno...:scared

I've won a couple of hundred at the slots in the Vegas airport and always catch shit for playing them. I tell whomever I'm with that its the ONLY, and I mean ONLY time you will ever catch me putting money in a slot machine...
