Going to buy a pressure washer - suggestions?

I got a Troy Built 6.75HP 2550PSI. I've used it at least 25 times over the last 5 years and never had a problem at all and plenty of pressure for what I need. I know if I wanted to start it now, it would only take one or two pulls and I'd be good to go. I bought it at either Lowes or Menards.

checked them out for ya yesterday..
3 draw backs..
hose size and material
1/4 inch and rubber and 30 foot of hose.
more durable have 3/8 inch w/steel and 50 foot.
have pasted a pick of machine to show you connections for water and hose.
note the hose is not quick-connect and both are located on the damn bottom of the machine.
before I forget..check w/Lowes or Homedepot paint dept. about the paint stripping.
Pressure washer will certainly help but a solution designed to break down whatever surface you are trying to remove will be of great help.
Especially if that surface needs to remove smooth and not scrtatched and dug all to hell w/2600 or so PSI .
Let me know which surface cleaner they suggest..if I have used it in the past I may help you with the learning curve of amount..waiting time..best temp..and cleaning stroke.
I suggest draining gas from this machine if you are going to let it sit for any exstended period of time..Carbs and fuel hoses are not fond of the ethenol in gas today.
Will cause ya problems downn the road if not stored properly..

I am hearing from people around that say there are a lot of pressure washers in peoples garages that have nice engines but no pump. Apparently people aren't using the pressure washer with care.....
I suppose this is one of those pieces of equipment that I will have to read the directions......:shrug:

You may not necessarily need new. A lot of people buy these and never use again.

I think I saw that last weekend.....if it's the same one, I was almost tempted to buy it.....the demos were pretty good.... :SIB

There were a few at Lowes I was looking at - then a buddy came along and said all of them were junk and not to buy - he knew from experience as he owns a landscaping company here in town.
He let me borrow his - of all things - it was a Briggs and Stratton - always thought of them as POS.
He said - use it - you'll see.
I did. Worked like a charm - like butta.
The guy also said that the B&S PW is just a decent working PW and that's it. If he was going to go out today and buy a PW - he would buy a DeWalt.
So - long story short - I will probably buy a DeWalt. Wife and I are moving sometime in next 3-6 mos. and I can't see living without a PW after the fantastic job it did making my house look new.

personally can't imagine owning a home and not having a pressure washer..
driveway..house..shed ..all stay clean..
the DeWalt's are awesome..
top of the line and generally last forever..
they are costly..
start at about $600.00
