That's a cool story. I'm quite sure at this point in his life he is very happy that Jordan stole the "spotlight" and he isn't very recognizable in public. He probably likes going out for dinner without a flock of people bothering him.
It's a good thing you didn't challenge him to a little one on one to pick up the dinner tab too! :142smilie

Jordan didn't really steal his spotlight he was only in chicago for 3 seasons which was early in jordans career then Oakley was sent to the knicks. While oakley was there was when the knicks were actually good and it was fun watching knicks v bulls, pacers v knicks with reggie miller yackin to spike lee. oakley was very dominant as a knick but never in the spotlight. He let patrick ewing take that. :0074

I kinda gotta go with BS, too. Been out of the ATL for 10 years or so, but only 2 people in the bar at Houstons Buckhead is absurd. :0008

Damn,

You guys are all too smart for me. I tried to get one by everyone on here and am called out by Scotty and Cold. It was all made up. I decided to pull Charles Oakley out because thought Scotty and Cold would not know who he is. I am ashamed. 20 seats around a U-shaped bar and only 2 were taken? What was I thinking?

And Scott was there Thursday night, all the way up from Valdosta GA, a good 4 hour drive. Probably had everyone in the bar in stitches. I am sure it was packed to capacity.

Matt, you are right. And a good man.

I deal with these cyber lurkers 24/7 down in the political pits. There is something about real people and real life events that they can't quite come to terms with.

Now picking 80% winners--no prob :SIB

Wineguy's taste s superb. Some of you remember Buckhead from the mid 90s.

Grow up, you're old. The kids hang out at Five Paces and the new Buckhead Saloon (Rio Grande in my day)

Carry on.
