If the Ravens did not turn the ball over this was a blowout. :0008

I believe that's what they refer to as "winning ugly," Jack. Still, a win is a win is a win, and road wins are never easy. Congrats to your Ravens.

jack..the jets "d' is still very tough...wait till flacco gets on the same page with boldin and housh...

and look at what having REAL wide receivers did for old todd heap....they can`t double mason and heap any longer...

we get ladarius webb, sergio kindle and the big moose nose tackle(terence cody) from alabama back in a matter of weeks...not to mention ed reed....

I've always liked a guy who bumps his own posts. :142smilie

And I'm not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but if I were you I would temper my expectations in regards to the Hooshie Mama. The guy really went downhill bigtime in Seattle. Not saying he's a bad receiver -- he's still decent, but he's a shell of the guy he was in Cincy. And he caused a shit ton of problems in the Seattle clubhouse by throwing teammates, coaches, even local radio personalities under the bus, yet he of course was never to blame for anything.

Then again, if the Ravens win (which they should) that may solve a lot of his issues. Lord knows he didn't get a taste of winning in Seattle, and I think that is at least part of the reason he was so pissy.

then you must have a man crush the size of the louisiana purchase on scottah from atlanta...:D

you have to remember what we`ve had in b`more for the last 10 years....what we had to work with over the past decade was akin to living in the 9th level of dante`s hell(his football hell,anyway)....

getting boldin and housh frees up everything else...

and half our defense was missing tonight...

things are looking prett-ee(in charm cit-eee)...

my dude!... :toast:

Well, considering Scott-Atlanta is more likely to have a drink with Pol Pot or Idi Amin than he is with me, I don't know about that. And let's just overlook that they're both dead, shall we? :SIB

I totally hear ya about the lack of O for the Ravens in past years. Their receivers haven't exactly set the world on fire, have they? You SHOULD be excited about Boldin and Housh, I'm just saying I think Housh kind of fell off a lot of people's radar when he went to that football Siberia known as the Pacific Northwest. He was an average receiver on the field, but never came close to living up to expectations. And his mouth got him in a lot of trouble. That's essentially the reason he was cut, IMO. Just trying to warn the Wease, that's all...

And FWIW, my post wasn't meant to be a knock on the Ravens. I think you guys have a great shot at getting to the big game. And although I don't 'root' for the Ravens, I've always respected the way they play the game. They are one of a few teams who actually bust their ass for 60 minutes, especially on defense. Their defense has saved my ass on many bets over the years, so needless to say I'm a fan. :142smilie

Jets are just undiscipline, and an ungodly amount of penalties. Not sure they will ever win with Sanchez as he looked scared as hell tonight, maybe Holmes will help him. All he did was immediately go to the check down, and a lot of that had to do with Balt D, but come on, take the kid gloves off a little bit. Gonna be a long year for their D when the offense can't move the ball, they will be on the field all game long.

As for the Ravens, I thought they did pretty good, take away the TO's and this is a blowout. Dominated the time of possession. Solid running game and WR corp, and great D with Reed to come a little later. All things considered, they did well with the blitzs tonight. No worries here MJ.

As for the Steelers, season revolves around Troy staying healthy, if he does D will be just as good as the others (Jets and Ravens and so on). Ben will be back soon enough, just make it through at worst 2-2 until he is back.

All I kept thinking was god these USC QB's stink in the Pros.....

I loved the game. Ray Lewis looked incredible and I won Ravens 1st half +.5 and ML +120 so I'm happy. Was worried late, but if you're a Ravens backer, great game!

Palmer hasn't been terrible, but don't forget Cassel... he's been a disaster for KC. How can anyone forget Todd Marijuanovich, Vince Evans, Rob Johnson... all sucked as well. Rodney Peete had a couple good moments, but was nothing special.

The more I think about the game the more I am satisfied with the performance. We need to keep the pressure off Joe and the Jets can bring it, that's for sure.

Joe played fine too. With better protection and better field position he would have thrown for over 300 years.

Next week the pass defense gets their first real test and we'll see how the O plays in Cincy.

I didn't think we would win last night and was figuring going 3-3 the first 6 games. Now I'm thinking 5-1, 12-4, and playing Sunday February 6 :00hour

Carson Palmer
Matt Lienar
Mark Sanchez
John Booty

Palmer hasn't been bad, a little above average at best, thinking he has made the playoffs a few times, but they handled him too with kid gloves at the beginning and at least he had/has some weapons to work with offensively. My point was these guys did fairly well in college, but the transtion has been poor to the pros, RB and WR wise is the same IMO. It's just weird thats all.
