I am not happy. Vikings become an instant contender for a third round pick!

I wouldnt be so sure about that. The pats typically get rid of guys right before they start to go downhill.

Moss contract is up after this year & Bellichek didn't want to give him a long term deal. It's pretty shrewd for Bill to trade him to a team that is about to play the Pats biggest competitor....

Moss comes to the Vikes in time for MNF against the Jets (Revis?), the Cowboys, the Packers and a trip TO New England. All motivational, important games for both Moss and the Vikes. Moss with no new contract yet, playing on the repeated national stage against teams he loves to shine against, for a new contract.

My money says his "downhill slide" just took a detour upwards, let alone what this will do for Favre's mood and interest.

Absolutely amazing deal, further proof of the wonderful owner that we have here now. While I am guardedly optimistic, the thought of having Rice and Moss on the outside, Harvin and Shiancoe cruising around where they aren't, a guy named Peterson having a wonderful year and now facing more pass defense formations is all pretty exciting.

it's not like the pats just decided that a 3rd round pick was a great value.....they were done with this guy for a while and monday's incident was the final straw.

i will say that ne has fallen in love with trading players for draft picks recently and it really hasnt helped them for that particular year (in terms or winning it all)
