S. Carolina (-6) over Kentucky
Emotional let down yes, bad match up yes, feisty home dog yes. The old ball coach is 17-0 against Kentucky in his years. Now that means that spurrier knows how to coach against the wildcats. This is a situation where can south Carolina play as hard as last week. I think with 9 returners on offense and 7 on defense this is an experienced group. What I LOVE is SC got over a hundred yards last year. Go ahead take a look at last years rushing per game. It's not too bad at over 110, go and look against SEC teams. That number goes to about 70 yards per game. The difference for this gamecock team is the running ability of lattimore. They can lean on this kid and even with a little emotional draw they have a ton of experience, talent and a runner. The world think SC can't put a few games together but I think that motivates them and continue to play well. As much as the Kent offense causes problems with Cobb and Locke but I think SC has the big receivers that Kentucky can not cover. SC needs to make the step if they want to be a big named team and they will play hard.

Texas A&M (-3) over mizzou
It has been a while since these two have met and going to Texas AM is not going to make it easy for the tigers. A&M is 14-5 in conference home openers. The AM offense plays a lot better at home and I think mizzou will struggle. The home team has won the last three but AM has won three of the last four. Texas AM is 4-1 as a home fav ATS. So we have seen A&M lose against it's two chances this season vs okie st and arky. This is a must win for A&M. They will have all the weapons to run any which way they want on offense. I have not a lot of faith in the mizzou defense and as this goes on A&M pulls away. Unless the aggies hurt them selves I cannot see the tigers in this game. I know the tigers have a good group on offense and a very gifted WR hut I think they can be bullied. Just the type of game Q&M can do at home in a conference game where they feel a little hungry for a win.

Nebraska (-9.5) over Texas
Texas has won 8 of 9 in this series. They have been the better team those years. I think this is nebraskas year. If you can imagine less talented cornhusker teams have made BIG games against Texas. Now they are home, they have the better team and they are all pissed off that the refs gave Texas a win last season. Be whatever you think if you saw Pelini after the game you know his feelings. Now Nebraska is 31-0 in conference home openers but I bet they haven't had this type of test. Still Nebraska was in charge last season they return the entire offense with a QB that has scramble ability. That is one of the reasons I like this play. Can texas keep an eye on Martinez? I don't think so because that means someone has to spy him and this kid can throw. Scary part is he is young and has made mistakes but I think they play inspired and with it's last shot at Texas before they leave they put it on them for years past.

Texas tech (-3.5) over okie state
Gotta love what I saw last week against Baylor. Weedle is not nearly as talented as griffin so Texas tech should have the ability to cover the pass. You want to know a pretty good game plan for Texas tech on defense. Blitz because the cowboy line is awful and has killed Hunter all year and double Blackmon. Do that and the offense is in deep trouble. On the other side I am pretty sure the okie defense will not stop the raiders at all! Look at how A&M lite up okie secondary, the raiders are far more efficient and they have the home field advantage. They have a coach that has kept the spread offense and added a little SEC touch to the defense. They are not great but they will get to Weedle. Just so much value here because I think okie state is way overrated and have been lucky more so than good in the wins this season. They will have that offensive luck Saturday but so will Texas tech and the red raiders are better suited this year.

Iowa (-4) over Michigan
A little scary because Iowa was a little stronger last season and they needed a defensive stop to seal TE deal. This year it is how the smaller Iowa line get to robinson. If you have seen the Iowa they used speed to move around the Oline andget the the QB. Problem, stuns open big holes for a running QB. Mich has been solid against Iowa. Last three loses against Iowa have been under three points and those were better Hawkeye teams and worse Michigan teams. Still I like Iowa not hanging it's whole offense on one guy. They do have a fast quick defense. Scary being in the big house but I just think Iowa is a better team and IMO better coached. They have something to prove and even though the last big road game was a smack by Arizona I think the hawkeyes can put more points on the board and stop Michigan. I think this is one of the better defenses and they can do a little confusing to Robinson. Then stanza and a veteran crew should have their way with the poor Michigan defense. State game showed the offense can be slowed but the defense can not slow anyone.

As much as I hate to almost kill my game play
Cincy (-2.5) over L'ville
An 82 yard run and pass back to the QB and the pick right inthe redone after they missed the fg on the opening drive. Seems Cincy can rake the secondary with speed all night.

I'm with you on Nebraska, A&M and Iowa.

Your posts are a must read each week for me. While I don't always agree with your picks, your research and analysis are solid.

BOL to all.

FSU (-22) over BC
This appears to be a game where no one knows just how much is too much considering BC terrible QB play. Well this is a bad spot for them. They go into FSU, the are mostly used to the cooler weather over the past few weeks, they have no QB and the defense seems to be giving their all but get deflated after one series of inept offense. FSU is trying to get some bonus points considering they were smacked by Oklahoma. They have showed a better game since but they know that big wins means big attention. The FSU defense is WAY too fast and it should truly in about three turnovers. The running game of the eagles will be bottled up by the more athletic front four of FSU and the offense should push BC off the ball. The trenches should be all FSU the offense for the miles should have time and room and make a lot happen on a Loy of drives. At home they like to put the hammer down and today BC is the nail.

Arizona (-23.5) over washing st
Well maybe Oregon did not cover against wash st but they did have to deal with a player being carted off the field. They knew they would win and really no reason after that to start fast. Well zona will be all over them. Wash st just looks like at team that bet against themselves. It should be an offense looking to prove something against a defense that can stop and a defense that should control play.

EDIT sorry about the Ariz "ST".... on my sheet I had it as a stronf lead of ST and when looking to post I just saw the ST and went from there.

Ohio St (-4) over Wisky
A lot of love for Wisky because they are the home team. Yes they are 40-4 in the jump around stadium and yes this is a VERY tough place to play. Who was a team that beat Wisky in wisky? Ohio state with a freshman Pryor. Looking at the MSU game I think the buckeyes can run the ball very well against this team. I also like the edge in special teams which have been a hole in the Wisky game that has been opened up. Wisky has not beated OSU for 6 years. Last year Wisky completely owned that game yet they lost. It seems every season Wisky is given a ton of credit because they win the games they should but I have not seen them win the big games. They play tough but the win just escapes them. Its gonna be a good test for the untested Ohio state defense. I think the Miami game showed that Ohio state can be rattled and if Harris did not give them the game with a bow on it I think it could have been a different outcome. Still thats a differnet offense Wisky does not line up 3 WR and throw the ball deep. This plays into the defense that does have a lot of talent and speed. The Ohio state defense held Clay to like 60 yards last year. What I see is pretty simple. The bucks can move the ball on offense thorugh Harron and Pryor. The ability to throw the ball Pryor has shown will come into play and the Ohio State defense forces the Wisky QB to beat them. I do not think they can playing that way and I think Wisky makes it respectable but I think in a game of two teams I think are unproven the bucks have the better team and should pull ahead. I think it is a low scoring event but the bucks take it. Get ahead early and the Wisky crowd can be taken out of the game, thats the best case scenario for ohio state.

Auburn (-3) over Arky
This will be a battle of IMO the two best QB's in the SEC. This will be a score fest and I think the home field advantage does come into play here. I know Arky beat A&M on the road but I just don't think they are a very strong road team against SEC tough nosed teams. There is not too much to see here. I know both teams will score I like Newtons ability to scramble and make plays with his feet that is caluable in this game. The Aub defense won't get to mallet offten but when the do they have to make it count. Hit him and get him out of his zone. Keep the home field advantage and let Mallet make his big game mistake then take advantage. Auburn has some good runners and they have an alright line. If you remember against Bama the tide was able to run at will to get back into it and I think even though the Arky defense is better at defense they are not there yet. I think the misdirections will be too much plus the zone read should cause issues because I am not sure the razorbacks can play lane or controlled defense. So honeslty I like both offenses, I like the home field, I like the talent on Auburn being a little deeper than arky, and I like the mobility of Newton. So I think WAREAGLE.

Not too much to write but like these
Boise (-39) over San Jose
Just like last week Boise knows every win against a bad team needs to be by 50 plus. They have to run it up not because they want to but because they have to, and thats bad for SJS.

Miss (+20.5) over Bama
I know bama lost and they are unhappy. I know Ol Miss has looked terrible at times. I know Bama is the home team and Miss stinks on the road, but 20?? This is a trap, I am well aware but I have to give it an attempt.

VT (-22.5) over Wake
Funny about it is the above play seems like a trap on Miss this play seems like a trap on Wake. Giving 20 plus to a Wake team that can score but has not defense. Still I like the VT defense to slow or stop the Wake offense and Tech can do what they want running the ball.

Cuse (+1.5) over Pitt
Coaching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AF (-1.5) over SDS
posted this in MJ play thread so I did not want to leave it off my sheet here. AF 1-1 on the road and 1-1 in the last two at SDS They are 7-5 at San Deigo overall. They have won last three and four of the last five. AF 19-9 Overall in this series. The falcons average over 5 yards per carry and they run a pretty difficult offense for SDS to play aginst. With that offense they put 460 per game in the offensive catagories. As much as I like the offense being a mismatch, the Falcons held Oklahoma to just 3.3 yards per rush and Northwestern State to just 1.9. They create turnoverd and make a lot of plays. SDS just does not have enough to stay with this team even though they are a better team than last year they are not to the AF level. They rank 23rd nationally and they go into SDS and continue to move the ball and stop the other team. They should win, even if they over look this team a bit.

UTEP (ML) over UAB
I just thought this looked off when it came out so I took a small play on it.

Org St (-2) over Washington
Washington is lead by Locker as everone knows but they have a bad o-line. I like what the beavers bring in the form of defense here. They are not the greatest road team and play much better at home but this is not a huge travel for them. To say Oregon is bad against the pass is a bit of an understatement but I think they can get to Locker early enough to avoid him picking apart the secondary. I think a lot of this is due to the loss of Rodgers on the edge but they still have quizz rodgers. Katz is looking more and more like a great future for the beavers. The loss against ASU showed why they Washington is not a good team even though they are home. I think Washington might be good in the long run but I like the coaching of the beavers as well. This is a game where Locker and Polk are just not enough. The spread speed of the beavers offense proves too much for Washington. The players org has around in every position to out play Washington. It scares me a bit because I do know the beavers are really bad in the secondary but I do not think the wideouts are not very good and I am not sure locker has enough time to find him. The beavers have a strong front four and send good hidden blitzes which should get home.

FAU (-5) over N.Tex
This is from Box and One

Texas/Neb OVER (46.5)
