Are you guys as lucky as I am to have the same best friend since you were 5 years old, I am in tears right now and I want to tell you about mine.
I met my best friend when I was 5 years old in kindergarten... He was a tall lanky fuck back then wearing a Charlie Brown striped T - shirt. I was a short kid and we just hung out building blocks in those days.. We would draw pictures too of cars with the engnes coming out of the hood with yellow flames., A Packer loving SOB that cheated on the computer too. if you ever played "Super Bowl Sunday" "Mule" or "4th and Inches" then you would know.. The dumb fuck moved when I was 12 shortly after my dad died to Flagler Beach, FLA.... He wrote me a year later telling me about the girls there and to write him back.. Asshole never put a return address on it.. So I thought I would never hear form him again.. Then about 2 years later I rode my bike down to the local county store and there he was. I am like WTF are you doing here and he said that we just moved back.. Apparently his parents were just renting out the place. He was back for good. We played neighbor football together, cards and anything you would do with a highschool buddy. We watch all the Packer and Viking games together for the most part. He is an SOB Packer fan and his brother dies with me with the Vikes. We fish an camp together too. I was the best man at his wedding and also his confident when his wife was a cheating whore. Also the Godfather for his children. Family wise we are like interchangeable brothers. I do not have a biological brother but he is my brother.. If you think about our days, I helped him study and cheated and gave him answers for tests.. We ran keg parties when we were 18, we drove around in his old Buick Regal with the 351. He picked me up all the time with his 4 wheel quadzilla and we would always be on the same teams for pick up football and we still challenge the young pups too. Nobody from around here can stop us because he is a good sandlot QB and am shifty and have a nose for the Football. Thank god the players up hers are slow..
Anyway I just learned that he has cancer.
It is stage 2 colon cancer and it is very cureable according to the MDs. Being a nurse I am very confident that it will be taken care of but I have been hit in the gut.. If you guys remember a good friend of mine lost his wife to rectal cancer a year and a half ago and she had it for 5 year before she scucumbed to it.. This fucking shit realyl pisses me off. I have taken care of so many people with this shit and have lost most.. The saving grace is that he is young and they have caught it at a good time but you never know when the shit will reappear.
I could go on and on and on and on about our times simce then..
