what some people call rain, others call sprinkling. it's 68 right now and no rain in sight but who cares.

BTW g, i live 12 miles south of downtown and doubt the weather was much different.

perfection. like i said, i'm envious :toast:

eastlake is a more of a suburb of tj than sd.

and if you think the weather is the same out there as it is downtown, you sure dont get out much.

Under a mask.
your post is 90% correct, you missed on your last 2 statements.

i usually dont post plays....who cares what i play...... use this site for information not anybodys plays.

if you'd have read my posts instead of whining about my being against sd...you'd have read that they were one of the most over-rated teams heading into the year (along with cincy-dal-min...hmm they're all horrible s/u + ats) stunk on the road and have a coach who cant lead and starts off slow every year

guess what

@kc -3 = s/u loss
@ sea -3.5 = s/u loss
@ oak -10 = s/u loss
@ stl -8.5 = s/u loss

and back on topic.....sorry, but at this point outside the pats-colts-jets-steelers.....the rest of the nfl in 2010 is made up of average to really bad teams.

like to see excellence and great teams, and there really arent any this year

Well its apparent that the Saints and Minny was a fluke last year.Neither team has any consistency this year ,which leads my to believe last year was a fluke.

Under a mask.
This thread is so inaccurate.I take back what I said about the Saints after last nites win,but IMO the NFL has been very entertaining and in fact there are more above .500 or at .500 teams than losing teams.

Lets break it down.

Division leaders:

New England 6-1
Houston and Indy(4-2,play tonite)
Baltimore and Pitt.5-2
KC 5-2
NYG 5-2
Atlanta and TB 5-2
GB5-3
Seattle 4-3

In the hunt and not including divisional ties based on same record.

NYJ 5-2
Miami 4-3
Tenn. 5-3
Jacksonville 4-4
Oakland 4-4
Phila. 4-3
Washington 4-4
Saints 5-3
Chicago 4-3
Rams 4-4
Teams with losing records.

Buffalo 0-7
Cinn. 2-5
Clev. 2-5
S.D. 3-5
Denver 2-6
Dallas 1-6
Carolina 1-6
Minny 2-5
Detriot 2-5(but on the up)
Arizona 3-4(and on the down)
SF 2-6

So you have a total of 17 teams better than .500.
You have 4 at .500 and only11 below .500.

So in the league teams are playing at .500 or better at almost double compared to the 11 losing teams.

And for every team like SD,Dallas,Minny who seem to be underachieving, a different teams more than compensates for their shortcomings.

Example:

TB
Atlanta
KC
NYJ(last year reached champ. game, but on 9-7 reg. season record)
And to boot these teams have made some noise some we know like the Saints and others who have been doormen t for years.

Example.(leaving out the obvious like Saints,Pitt.,Balt.,etc.)

Houston
Miami
Seattle
Tenn.
Jacksonville
Oakland
Philly
Wash.
Chicago
Rams

This season truly is shaping up to be one of the best IMO because there is no true cut winner. It seems the field is wide open.

Whens the last time the Raiders and Chiefs have played a meaningful game??
Would thing it would reak havoc for gamblers and not be easy pickings like gin states anyway to much time on my day off ,which is Monday...

completely disagree.....you clearly dont watch many games.....for the second weekend in a row the entire slate of matchups mostly stunk and the actual games were even worse

or did you miss:
the 9-0 gb-jets barnburner
or the 10-10 cheifs-bills stinkfest
or the rams-panthers snooze fest
or the seachickens-raiders paint dry fest
or on and on and on
and what a first half in det, no, etc, etc

there are more teams in the hunt becasue that's what mediocrity....errr....parity does.....keep everyone around .500 and everyone "in the race" for as long as possible......what it does is eliminate greatness, and this year there really arent many (if any) great teams while there are plenty of bad and mediocre teams.

I have the Redzone so I watch every game, most at there best moment.Hats off to the Raiders,Lions,TB,Rams, teams that are on there way up.These teams can't stay dorment forever,it will also take time to reach the top.

You odv. are not looking at the big pitchure.

i am looking at the big picture....the fact that those 4 teams have a combined .500 record shows how bad the nfl is this year... while improving none are really that good (in fact they are all still below average)

heck....the bears are 4-3 and are a train wreck when they have the ball....in fact, that's when i head to the pisser becasue i know they're likely not going to score...a much better chance on defense or special teams

:mj07:

tampa had 21 points and 2 first downs with 2 mins left in the half yest......the entire nfc west has 2 road wins.....1 was at another nfc west team....it goes on and on....read somewhere....there was only 1 game yest (prior to night game) that featured two teams with winning record.....the 9-0 stinkfest in ny.

in the end. we can still bet on it, make money on it and "try" to watch it...but in my mind the reality is the product on the field is at an all-time low

Well I didn't say that the NFC West was great. My point was that teams like the Rams,Oakland,Seattle are play 500. ball or better.

With time ,barring a lockout these teams should progressively get better. That's where your missing the big pitchure.

How can the play of TB,Wash.,Houston,KC,Oakland,Seattle not be considered vast improvement's of prior years?

Both KC and Seattle are undefeated at home.
What your seeing are teams heading in the right direction.

No one said they would achieve NFL supremacy overnite. How can you discredit what the Rams have done with a rookie QB ?

Or what KC has accomplished so far?
And Houston??

As far as defensive games go,I love em.
GB really shut down a Jet offense that prior to the bye was doing pretty well.

Just because a game is 13-10 or 9-0 doesn't mean the game is of bad quality. They can't be all shootouts like SD and Tenn. or AZ and TB.

Every team can't be like the Patriots.Sorry i couldn't resist. You sound very negative ,that's my take.

Oh by the way TB and AZ combined for a total of 803 total yards and TB had 19 total first downs.

just give it another hour or two. He's still trying to find something negative about that fact. Gotta look at all the angles. :D

I love the parity! this season has been very exciting for me! just one boy's opinion...

I totally agree.... HUGE DOG ML profits... And almost every HEAVY BET GAME (generally the favorite) that has had the public ALL OVER one side more than other HAS NOT COVERED, AND Lost (guessing on %, around 60+ % straight up when a favorite)

NYJ, KC, PITT, NE (they did cover for public), and even INDY tonight I figure public was on HOU because INDY was killing favorite bettors wallets for most of a season.... (And look at UTAH JAZZ +6.5 dog at OKC on Sunday... World hammered OKC, line dropped, and UTAH wins by 21 for 1st win of year!)

I think Vegas is making more dough on public $$$ this year than any other year at the halfway mark....

I just like the fact that you cant "Count on" anything this year.... Its been a CRAZY year, and for the "anti public play system" lots of dough could and will continue to be made... I think watching the line movement on these NFL games and going opposite of the majority has been and will be the way to go... Because NO TEAM can guarantee a win this year....

How many undefeated teams were there left at this point of the season in the last 5 years??? 3+????? I love that the "bad teams" are upsetting "good teams" (based on history)...

Just like the SEC is guaranteed shit for a championship just because they are the SEC... Times are a changing!!!
