Need a little car advice...

So I unplugged my battery this morning and it cleared the check engine light... My wife just took it in to see if it will pass smog now.. wish me luck

in the people`s republic of maryland, it`s called "emissions" testing...i usually change the air fllter and put a little dry gas in before i hit the testing station.....


these s.o.b.`s are diabolical thinking up ways to separate a person from their hard earned cabbage.........

Haven't had to do that shit since I left there for Garrett County in 88. Jesus, that was 22 years ago and seems like not too long ago :facepalm:

So how did the inspection go? I'm thinking it still failed. When you cleared the check engine light it also cleared all of the diagnostics out of the computer. Typically if you go to have it tested right away they'll tell you they can't do it until you drive for around 100 miles to get all of the diagnotics back in the computer. Maybe Cali is different for TX on how they test though.

you are correct... exactly how it happened... The computer reset but I didnt allow it enough time... I needed the failed smog certificate anyways to get more time...

maryland is a "soft tyranny" one party state......most people with real money(see jack) are leaving.....don`t blame them a bit for leaving this sinkhole...

you get a piece of black duct tape that fits the warning light exactly

tape it over the light

da da da la la lal la ala

i would think it would be a lot easier to fix the car then locating a roll of black duck tape :shrug:
