You guys ever catch anyone going into your recycle bin or see them going into someone elses bin :mj07: :facepalm:
Oh yeah...there's a woman who drives a Mercedes...no bullshit... she goes thru everyone's looking for cans and bottles.
i am already taken care of two days a week but thanks for offering. Wed trash Saturday trash, bulk, and recycles. Not sure i can generate much more trash PP.
A beer can or bottle worth 5 cents if you take it to a place that takes that stuff.
Yeah we had a guy who would rat people out looking in ur trash for recycles :facepalm: Not sure what ever happen to him.
most neighborhoods have one of these guys :shrug: I think someone put a ground hog in their trash and he opened it and had a heart attack :mj07: sorry
I was at the beverage store a few months ago and 2 guys came in and they were talking to the counter guy. Apparently they come in quite often. The driver of the pick-up said to the helper I'm going to make you $600 this week.
They drive around on trash days and pick up recycle bottles and cans.
If the helper gets $600 what does the driver get?
And all tax free too!

You gotta see the hobos and homeless people in the city I can't believe all the plastic bottles and cans they are able to get. I'm talking huge plastic bags filled in many shopping carts.

Iowa has a 5 cent deposit law for pop and beer bottles/cans. I'm too lazy to return my beer bottles so I put them in my recycling bin. Most people I know do, too. Then the "can bums" drive through the alleys the night before collecting cans and bottles and hauling them to the stores for the cash. A win-win for everyone.
Wednesday with a 2nd if you buy special bags...Hell I just put crap on the street and count to 10
