Two Years Ago Today

I was under the knife at Major Hospital in Shelbyville, Indiana for my life changing and saving bariatric surgery.

Two years later I am almost 230 pounds lighter, happier and loving life.

So many of my friends here at Madjacks stepped up to the plate to help me out financially and mentally.

Were there any negative aspects of weight loss?
I'm guessing your golf handicap went up.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and continued encouragement.

Definitely has affected my golf game. I can actually turn away from the ball now instead of swinging around a 72" waist, LOL.

The lowest my handicap has been was a 6 and I weighed 400 pounds. Jack and some of the gang can attest to that. Now that I've lost so much weight I've had to learn how to swing the club all over again. I can also now add some elements to my swing that quite frankly I was not capable of previously. My handicap is back down to a 9 now. I shot a 74 earlier this summer and when we were in South Carolina last month I shot 80-80-81-84-78-90.

Early January 2009 about a month after my surgery at around 400 pounds.

From May 2009, probably around 325 or so pounds.

My birthday in August 2009 about 300 pounds.

Earlier this summer weighing in around 275.

At my 20 year high school reunion in late July.

With one of my best friend's at her sister's wedding in September.

In late October at my current weight around 265.
