Been looking at this game for awhile now and feel it is my best chance to win this week.

When it comes to the air assault, the all-important efficiency number is impressive:

Tom Brady leads the NFL in passer rating (109.5). In fact, it puts him on pace to become the only quarterback in history with two of the 10 most highly rated seasons in history (he compiled a 117.2 rating, the second highest ever, in 2007).

His incredible 27-4 TD-INT ratio is on pace for the best in history, even better than his legendary 2007 campaign (50-8).
.................................................................

The wager is tilted towards New England because of Brady. Although this is obvious , what I have looked at is how Cutler will respond.

Even though Cutler played well in the wager I won with the Philly game , this will be a game where Cutler will not come through in the passing game. Interceptions and fumbles will be in Cutlers bag of tricks in this game. I hate the way Cutler is so emotional and it affects his game in negative ways.

I saw weakness in the Philly game from the Chicago Bear's defense. They had breakdowns that Vick was able to exploit. Vick is chopped liver compared to what Brady has done in his career.

On the other hand Brady is seldom rattled by anything that happens on the field. He just goes about his business winning games.

Advantage - New England

1. Get on the right side

2. Reduce your risk

3. Don't be a homer

4. Reduce the plays you make.

5. Reduce or do not play the college games
Mon-Fri

6. When you lose, don't chase late plays.

7. Do not handcuff yourself with one type of wager.

8. No woman, No children

9. Cash the ticket.

Mike Martz has eased the pressure on Jay Cutler and it's yielded great results. Football, at the end of the day, is a very easy game to analyze: you generally win when your quarterback plays better than the other team's quarterback.

But overdependence upon your passer can backfire on even the best of them. Look at Peyton Manning. He tossed a career-high 11 picks in three games in which the Colts completely abandoned the running game. The Colts returned to a balanced attack Thursday night for the first time in weeks (35 passes, 32 rushes) and it ended with Manning's best performance and Indy's first win in a month.

Chicago offensive coordinator Mike Martz, meanwhile, has always had an itchy trigger finger as a play-caller, most notably as head coach of St. Louis. His high-powered Rams abandoned the running game (44 passes, 22 runs) in Super Bowl XXXVI and were upset by Brady's balanced and efficient Patriots.

Much more recently, Cutler attempted 39 and 40 passes, respectively, in consecutive losses this year to the Seahawks and Redskins -- two teams the Bears should have beaten up badly. With such a heavy workload, Cutler was ineffective against Seattle (17 of 39, 0 TD, 0 INT) and he was a disaster against the Redskins (4 INT). :scared

Interceptions have been a problem for Cutler throughout his career, most notably the league-high 26 he threw in 2009 (pre-Martz). And the Patriots possess a formidable challenge.

Despite New England's well-chronicled struggles on pass defense this year, the team is second in the NFL with 18 INTs
:00hour

...............................................................

Remember Mike Martz the moran that used to coach the St Louis team. What a jackwagon.
I cannot believe he is still in the NFL or that someone would even hire him. He made so many game plan type mistakes it was incredulous. And he is going to call the plays for Cutler ? :mj07:

I can see a pick six from Cutler in this game.
Martz will have his game plan geared for the pass
and Cutler will fall into the trap.

Advantage - New England

Brady is the king of cold weather.

Seen the forecast for late Sunday afternoon in Chicago? Papa Bear Halas must be smiling from the great big owner's box in the sky: snow, lows in the single digits and brisk winds.

It's good news for the legacy of the old Black & Blue Division.

It's bad news for the Bears.

Brady is the best cold-weather quarterback in history (since 1960), with a remarkable 18-2 (.900) career record in games played in snow, ice or below freezing temperatures. :scared

Some other notable cold-weather champions? Green Bay Hall of Famer Bart Starr, hero of the Ice Bowl, was 15-4; Pittsburgh's legendary big-game gunslinger Terry Bradshaw was 14-4.

Brady's greatest cold-weather performance came in the 2004 AFC title game at Pittsburgh. It was the coldest game in Heinz Field history (-1 wind chill) and the Steelers possessed the league's stingiest scoring defense. Brady was near flawless (130.5 rating) as the Patriots won, 41-27.

There were steady winds last week at Foxboro and a wind chill of 15 degrees. Again, Brady (148.9 rating) and the New England offense were virtually flawless, dropping 45 large on a tough Jets defense. :SIB

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Personal milestones mean little in the grand scheme of things, but it's interesting to note Mike Martz has lost four straight times to Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots. :scared

The string of bad luck for Martz began Feb. 3, 2002 when the Patriots upset the heavily favored St. Louis Rams 20-17 to win Super Bowl XXXVI. Martz's offense, however, performed fairly well and racked up 427 total yards, but the Rams turned the ball over three times.

Kurt Warner threw two interceptions, while Marshall Faulk was held to 76 yards on only 17 carries.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick has had success against Mike Martz-coached teams."We had a protection error, we had a receiver slip and fall on a slant, and we fumbled right before the half, and they got 17 points off of those three turnovers," Martz said. "They were a great team, obviously. I?m not taking anything away from that. But for us in that game, it was about turning the ball over like we did that gave them those great opportunities that affected the outcome more than anything else."

Martz went on to lose to Belichick in 2004 (40-22), 2006 (Patriots 28, Lions 21) and 2008 (Patriots 30, 49ers 21). The former head coach and current offensive coordinator will try and snap that streak when the Bears (9-3) battle the Patriots (10-2) Sunday at Soldier Field.

"The thing about Bill, and this is something we try to do on offense, first of all, he?s been there so long, there?s an aura of discipline that he demands out of those guys, where we?re trying to get to," Martz said. "I say eliminate mistakes, get better every week. They?re that way every week because it?s ingrained there.

"And when they bring somebody in, they have to buy into that. They?re very, very disciplined. Never see them out of position. They adjust extremely well, and they just don?t make mistakes. And that gives you the best chance to win. So that?s the best compliment you can give somebody, I think. Those guys are tuned into what they?re doing, and they just don?t make errors."

Despite the Bears being ranked No. 29 in total offense, has made significant strides toward improving the unit the past five weeks. :0corn

Similar to the Bears' offense, the Patriots' defense ranks near the bottom on many statistical categories, including total defense (No. 31) and passing defense (No. 31). Still, with Belichick calling the shots, the Pats' defense poses certain unique challenges every single season.

"He?ll study everything that you?ve done, take it apart, piece-by-piece," Martz said. "He?ll identify what your strengths are, and he?ll try to eliminate your strengths. And he won?t do anything to radically change his defense, but he will make you adjust. There?s no question, he will make you adjust."

Although Martz clearly respects Belichick, he scoffed when a reporter asked if the Patriots coach had somehow gotten inside Martz's head.

Hell no Martz replied.

Who the fawk do you think I am Mrs Doubtfire ? :SIB

..............................................................

Lets face it. Bellicheck eats Martz for lunch every time.

The Bears are good. But it's hard to go against New England's history in big games or the fact that the Patriots have lit up a series of great defenses in recent weeks, including 39 points against Pittsburgh and 45 points against the Jets last week.

And New England just dominates NFC opponents.

Brady's Patriots are 32-6 (.842) in games against NFC opponents (including 3-1 in Super Bowls) and 9-1 (.900) against the NFC North. The lone loss to an NFC North team was delivered by the Packers in 2002.

KOD-

Does the Brandon Spikes suspension scare you? Predominantly a run guy, they now put in serviceable MLB Gary Guyton in his place, who generally plays in the nickel package.

Good Luck, Sir.

................................................................

I am not happy about it but Spikes has played like 23 plays a game approx.

Hard to believe Spikes would allow himself to get in that situation. Its amazing how stupid some of these rookies are.

Guyton has been in the league 3 years and he is very capable to step up.
Bellicheck knows what he is doing. Lets just face facts.

Spikes is the third leading tackler on the defense and I don't like that part of it. But that can be replaced with the right moves by NE coachs.

The way the game stacks up is New England has too much offense for Chicago to keep up with Cutler and his indicisive play.

Chicago defense is good but I didnt like the way Vick was able to cut them apart constantly.

So my final answer is

Don't be scared :scared

Spikes was featured in the Gainesville Sun?s fishing column after catching an 8-pound, 10-ounce bass on Newnan?s Lake in Gainesville. The fish was the largest Newnan?s bass seen in recent years, but after weighing the fish, Spikes threw the fish back into the lake

I think bears are most overrated team in nfl. However don't you think this is a good time for them to play pats? Huge emotional win over jets now traveling to chicago to play a non conference game which is far more important for the bears. It will be very cold 15 degrees and 40mph wind. The wind will be a big help for bears neutralizing pats passing game. Its also very hard to have success running against bears. All week listening to chicago sports radio and player interviews they say they have something to prove and this is the game to shut critics up. Good luck on your play as a packer fan hope pats destroy them but I have my doubts.
