Has anybody seen the HBO documentary on Vince Lombardi ?....

If you didn't, then I would recommend seeing it.....

Not only does the show talk about how great he was as a coach & a leader, it also talks about his faults as a husband & parent....

The guy was a great man, imo & if you like football, you should see it....

I saw it, I think last week, and agree it's a good show. There were lots of clips of him back in the day. Those parties he had in his basement reminded me of all the parties my aunt and uncle had when I was a kid. Same exact setup with all the drinking and smoking and furniture, everything. Brought back some old memories.

His house is only a few blocks from where we tailgated. The neighborhood has changed little in the last 50 years. Tough to beat Green Bay. :00hour

I watched it last night.

I was amazed at the part about his high school coaching days:

School of 300 wins the state championship 6 years running over schools 10 times the size.

Need a hoops coach? No problem. Lombardi doesn't even know how the game is played? No worries. He reads a book on the game by a top coach of the day, and wins the State Championship in that, too!

I was trying to ruffle up feathers. I don't think the Vikes are going to move but you never know.

Love Lambeau field no doubt about that. Not a big fan of Green Bay its too damn Green there. Every building every store is full of green. I love the fact that you guys have probably the best fans and the most passionate, hell by best friends are Packer fans but Green Bay gets to the point of nauseum. I understand there is nothing else to do there but can't people go about their day not thinking, eating, sleeping, and shitting Packers.

Maybe its jealousy. maybe I wish we had your stadium, maybe I wish we had titles. We don't, we just don't.

On the other side yah, I was thinking about going to Green Bay to watch next year's game but I will not be wagering for my team is going to suck balls with McNabb next year. Vikes need to gut a few spots. Need about 3 OL, 1 -2 DL, 1 OLB, 1 QB, and a new sceondary other than that we will be ok.:0074

Oh and a new coaching staff. I like Frasier but I don't want any other Childress assistants there.

Bottom line both of our teams will be at home come playoff time this year and that sucks.

Hunt me down if you ever do come to a game. I actually would like to see a game in the Metrodome. Crazy loud in there.

Oh and your comments about GB are spot on. Can you imagine the people that live here and DON'T like the Pack? That must REALLY suck.
